  3. They hang the Goose upside down, gallop passed it on a horse and (attempt to) pull its head off. It's to do with an ancient tradition to commemorate their liberation from the Arabs in the 12th(or 11th?) century. They used to do it while the bird was alive, but it's done mainly with a dead one nowadays. It's carried out using either a Goose or a Rooster. @SirBalon practices it every year, although he performs it naked.

  7. I suppose the return of Chamberlain and Keita now being more settled will be a big bonus for Pool. It’s hard to massively improve on the current squad and there is no point buying just for the sake of it. You’re a bit lacking in depth at full back for me, but it’s hard to find quality players who are willing to play that role. Not to mention you have players like Milner and Gomez who fill in well. Overall I think it’s just a case of Liverpool playing it smart, the market is just out of control currently and the Prem market is absolutely horrendous.

  8. I think he has all the tools to succeed in the Championship. He is just a natural goalscorer, he has a top notch goals record at youth level for both club and country. Obviously there are no guarentees when players move up to professional football, but I can't see any reason for him not scoring a good amount.

  10. Spending in England at most clubs seems down compared to other insane transfer windows. I think the reality is we're a normal football club without infinite budgets and the focus this year is on keeping the core group of players we have together, rather than what usually happens where Barca or Real Madrid come and take our best player and leave us in a state of rebuilding. We're rich, but we don't have Manchester City money. Obviously, I'd like to see us have more depth... at the same time, Klopp's shown he's willing to wait until he can get the players he actually wants... and those players generally are the players the fans are most happy with. So if that's what's going on here, then I'm alright with that as well.

  11. Yeah...another "great" Spanish tradition just like bull fighting. Even worse in fact but at least these days the duck is already dead before they decapitate it
