There's a difference between staying informed and panicking/being overdramatic though. I mean you definitely get your fair share of those who buy a shitload of masks and storm supermarkets for supplies every time someone sneezes in China. The media with their clickbait headlines surely aren't helping either. But dismissing or ignoring it is the other extreme and also one of the reasons why this has spread by far more than it should have.

I want to go on holiday first though.

Epidemic seems pretty much unavoidable in Germany. More UK cases confirmed thanks to aforementioned poshos on their skiing trips. Expecting something akin to this on my way into work tomorrow.

Underberg is gaining trendiness in the States. I have several in my drawer right now, but I will say I'm a sucker for digestiffs, it's definitely better than the bizarre culture around Jagermeister. What is the difference besides horsemeat? It's hard to get right, there is a famous German restaurant nearby (not just Bavarian mind you, but definitely a bias towards the famous Alpine foods of Bavaria and Austria, with quite a few Hungarian foods throw in for good measure) . I've had their sauerbraten a few times and I've made it before, but it's tricky to get the roasting right without drying out the cut, because typically I find a less fatty cut is used. The beer selection is exquisite.

A Hidden Life (2019) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5827916/ Got round to watching it at last... A fantastic movie; finally another true masterpiece by Terrence Malick and a very deserving tribute to Franz Jägerstätter and civil disobedience and conscientiousness. The cinematography is unreal, the story is profound and powerful and the cast is amazing. August Diehl does an amazing job and the movie is a beautiful return to traditional narrative for Malick at his best. A true visual and emotional feast. @Tommy you have to watch this!
