  1. If any of you are concerned about my spate of posting recently its probably because I'm on the verge of joining this club.

  4. Spookily, without fail I've woken up between 6-30 and 7am in the morning as opposed to 8-9 since getting the vaccine. I'm not sure whether that is a symptom of a blood clot or that coronavirus is a hoax and the government have injected me with some chemicals to improve productivity.

  14. Yes it is worth it. I'm playing advocatus diaboli here, nobody has proven the deads died because of Covid instead of just with Covid, whilst these cases are in fact dangerous potentially mortal conditions. As I said that's not necessarily my opinion, but questions why you risk the lives of young otherwise healthy persons to give over 100 year old persons the chance to live possibly only 1 day longer might arise, if you don't take precautions against these cases in order to prevent a possible third wave.

  15. It's not the regular thromboembolism events (i.e. single clot) that is the main cause of concern here though, it's the multiple clotting in unusual places in combination with low platelet count, which together led to brain haemorrhaging and is a very rare condition in general population, and also the fact that it suddenly occured in young(ish), otherwise healthy people in at least 3 different countries in a very short time frame (2-3 weeks).

  16. Well, you have to understand though that those potential side effects that are being reported in numerous countries are extremely unusual in general population and therefore need to be properly investigated, as if it's indeed related to the vaccine in any way and if it keeps on happening, then you'll end up with more healthy people dying or in serious, life threatening condition which is unacceptable and could be avoided. Also, unfounded inferences? I don't know, nothing has been proven or denied yet. It could be a set of weird coincidences, some unrelated event that caused excess activation of coagulation system, some issue with the procedure of delivering the vaccine, a contaminated batch or equipment, some other issue in AstraZeneca's EU production line, some specific genetic marker that triggers the reaction, an issue with the vaccine itself, or something entirely different. But it's definitely worrying that there have been at least 40 documented cases in multiple countries within a short timeframe with the same severe symptoms that normally aren't observed in relatively young and healthy people, and so far the only thing linking all those cases is the AstraZeneca vaccine, so for me, stopping the use of it for two weeks until it is properly investigated sounds like a very reasonable thing to do. In fact, that's a pretty standard procedure to take precautionary measures when such severe events occure, regardless if it's a testing phase or a real-life scenario. Straight out rejecting the idea that there might be a potential link of the vaccine and severe side effects is just as bad as being anti-vax, to be honest.

  23. Yeah I've seen a bit of it. Insane achievement. Obviously we only get given the edited/specific bits of footage in the documentary but I have no reason not to believe the people closest to him when they say about how positive his attitude was from day one of the accident, even in the first few days of what he remembers in hospital. For such a young kid to have been racing all his life, then have that snatched away from him in an accident, and continue to be positive and make a difference to how the sport operates regarding disability and disabled participants is huge for anyone, let alone someone his age. Phenomenal individual.

  24. I wanna just take a second to talk about the German national team. And how much Low is a fucking embarrassment at this stage. Last game played, Germany lost 6-0 to spain. With this line up -------------------------------Neuer--------------------------------- Ginter------Sule--------------------Koch------------------Max ----------Goretzka-------Gundy--------------Kroos---------- Sane---------------------Gnabry------------------------Werner Obviosuly there are some experimental aspects to this side, and it doesn't necessarily represent our best 11. But it leads me to so many questions. Why attempt to play a wonderful winger as a false 9? Why are we even trying midfield combos that aren't based around Goretzka/Kimmich, the 2 players who make up the core of the worlds best teams midfield? Why has Timo Werner been picked? At all? Lets lay it out, and I'd love to hear opinions. Goalkeepers. Neuer, Ter Stegen, Trapp. This is a no brainer. Ter Stegen is one of the best in the world, as is Neuer. Neuer is older, but thats good in a keeper and he plays every week with half the fucking team. 3rd choice is down to user taste but relatively unimportant. I like Trapp personally. Center backs. Sule is Germanys best CB IMO. But who we pair him with is the riddle. I don't think theres a perfect answer, but I think Rudiger is most likely to compliment Sule well, and he generally performs better with a better player next to him. Ginter and Tah are the other 2 I'm happiest with personally. Full backs. Big problem area IMO. On the left, I think Halstenberg is the man. I don't hate Schultz, but he's not much of a fucking defender is he? More a guy who can be an aggressive overlapper against shit teams. Right back, Kimmich is NOT THE ANSWER! He MUST play in midfield next to Goretzka. WHY WOULD YOU FUCK UP THE BAYERN PAIR? Whos the guy for the job? Klosterman? Ginter? Midfield. Goretzka and Kimmich. WHY THE FUCK WOULDN'T YOU? In front of them, we have several options. Kroos, Havertz and Gundogan. Reus and Brandt can also play in the middle, but Reus is made of bread sticks and Brandt likes to play wide. I think Gundogan is the choice here. He's on fire at city. I like having Reus and Brandt on the bench for versatility though Wide attackers. Sane and Gnabry play football week in week out with Goretzka and Kimmich. They're bot excellent and full of flair. FUCKING PLAY THEM. One each side. EZ. Brandt, Reus Havertz. These are the other options. FUCK OFF WERNER. Unless we're playing 2 up front (we wont) or we're playing fucking Slovenia or Estonia, the guy can fuck off. He's not even good as a super sub as he gets WORSE as opposition teams sit deeper. Striker. Muller. Just play the guy. Man roams, scores goals. Playing him makes it harder to play other roaming players -ie- Kai Havertz. But fuck it. He's our best hope of a consistent stream of goals and the country only seems to produce keepers and midfielders these last 10 years. Waldschmit, Volland are sadly our best actual forwards, and neither is pulling up trees. End rant.

  25. Just watched a documentary on Billy Monger and the crash he sustained, and the recovery thereafter. It's surreal what he achieved/achieves despite what happened to him. Talk about turning a negative in to a positive. Very heart-warming watching him talk through the journey since the crash. Inspirational.

  27. Cooked myselt a Red Lentil Curry with sweet potatoes today. Had to go to two different shops to get Garam Masala, but it was worth it. One of the best things I've ever eaten. I was really surprised at how rich and flavourful it tasted. I will include this into my regular cycle, so I'll probably eat it every 2-3 weeks now.

  28. I'm 28 in April. Never even had the slightest desire to have a child. Had lots of short term GFs, and I think my openness and stubbornness on the issue has definitely hurt me in seeking meaningful relationships. I get lumped into the fuckboi category unfairly (sometimes unfairly) and there is definitely still a residual social stigma on this choice of mine, even in a very progressive age
