The Government us all to work towards returning to work five days a week. Im sure they'll dress it up as we will inadvertently be spending more to help little businesses but I'm not sure who this really benefits other than the extortionate rail service and there landlord associates who own the office space. It definitely doesn't help my employer having me in the office distracting people, it definitely doesn't help the mental health of people who will be spending more at a time when the cost of living is expecting to rise significantly. Also the audacity of Oliver Dowden, a man who burried his head in the sand over any form of issue as the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport during lockdown to be the one to imply we have all sat on pelotons (good luck ever affording one of them under this government) doing nothing for 18 months isn't lost on me.

The craziest thing about being able to toggle back and forth is... playing the remaster (where they've actually done an absolute shitload to remaster the game), it looks how I remember Diablo 2 looking in my head when I think back about playing it. Then I toggle on "old school graphics mode" and it's mental how my brain had like given Diablo 2 some HD memories considering how absolutely dogshit the graphics were.

Watched the trailer and immediately recognized Philip Glass as the composer. Great cast too! Looks very good. I'll definitely watch it once I finish The Expanse.

I would imagine the government would have to cut spending in a lot of areas just to balance it out. I think it's inevitable at this point that there is going to be a raise in taxes, regardless if the debt-ceiling is raised or not. It's something the Biden Administration promised they wouldn't during their entire campaign but now it is looking like they don't have a choice considering they were spending money into an economy that's basically stagnating.

Got to say... the Brazilian FA's been very annoying this season. First trying to get our players banned from playing for their clubs if they want to comply with COVID rules for international travel (cunts), but their scheduling for Brazil v. Uruguay means Alisson & Fabinho are likely to be ruled out from playing over the weekend.

Unavailable in my country damnit. I did see some clips of that though and he was interviewing people outside on Jan 6 before the storming. I think it was CNN that interviewed him a few days ago and showed some of that. It was a good interview either way, its just funny to see back and forth and logic thrown back at them, most of them arent used to any of that.

Indie band Friendly Fires have hit out at Boris Johnson after he walked out to one of their songs for his speech at the Conservative party conference. The Prime Minister made his way to the stage against the backdrop of their track Blue Cassette ahead of his keynote speech in Manchester. However, the band have said they did not give their permission for him to use the song at the event and said they are taking steps to make sure it does not happen again.

It's happening!

I plan on signing up this week for the Great Southern Endurance Run which is a 100km race starting on top of Kennesaw Mountain, running through Atlanta, and then ending on Stone Mountain. Unlike most ultras, this one is NOT mostly dirt and trails, but will be mostly asphalt. The cool thing is that my oldest sister lives right near Kennesaw Mountain, and my Dad lives in Stone Mountain, so that'll be nice to have family and friends at the start and the finish. Race is April 30, 2022.

20 years ago I was a Diablo 2 addict and that has now returned. I fucking love this game
