I'd like to think he'll never play in England again...but you see the case of Ronaldo and United fans ignoring a transcript of him admitting to rape. Away from rape but still on domestic abuse...Danny Simpson was convicted of beating his girlfriend and still played for Leicester during their title winning season. There needs to be a code of conduct implemented by the Premier League imo.

A bit of education too for those outside the UK who look quite rightly and go what the fuck is wrong with them: These are the two best-selling newspapers over here. The Daily Mail going with the line "there's a war on, pwease leave Bowis awone" as if the country who changed Prime Minister during the Second World War in which they were actually physically engaged couldn't change Prime Minister now because of a war that we aren't actually fighting in. Nobody tell them what's going on in France this month. The Sun simply concocts an alternate reality that can be reported as fact to people who haven't been following the story inside out (which is most people at this point because it's rumbled on for many months). Having a media so heavily biased towards one major party and political ideology really can be just as effective sometimes as the defacto state-sanctioned media they have in countries that are considered not to even have democracies. On the bright side, we have at least SOME balance from the BBC, ITV and Sky News who generally at least report fact-based news despite their imperfections and a couple of non-Tory rags in the Mirror and Guardian but they're fighting a losing battle.

I'm sure they'll sign a superstar again this summer and the fans will put those yellow and green scarves back in the loft.

The destruction in Syria is not just down to Russia but... Russia is responsible for a lot of the destruction there. The total war style tactics used in Syria were brutal, even compared to normal modern warfare which is inherently brutal. The longer this war goes on, the more dark it will get. Russia's shown domestically in Chechnya and abroad in Syria that they don't care if they have to completely destroy cities in order to achieve their military goals. The Azov Regiment defending Mariupol are now saying Russia's used chemical weapons. It's hard to really believe that as the Azov Regiment are, unfortunately, neo-Nazi dickheads and they're making this claim of a red line being crossed while there are no reporters left in the besieged city to verify the claims. So that could just be a group of unscrupulous Nazis trying to pull NATO into the war. But it's definitely concerning that the man in charge of Syria is now in charge of Ukraine. He does not give a shit about civilian deaths, collateral damage, or war crimes.

Congrats Harry to you and your missus. Two things spring to mind. Firstly, fair play on deciding two kids are not challenging enough so you needed to raise the bar. Clearly making this parenting malarky look a piece of piss. Secondly, has your missus ever thought about doing an Ironman comp or entering a Royal Rumble? Because after 3 Caesarean's, I'd back her to take on the world,maybe even Tyson Fury. Top effort.

I'm finishing up work just now, and then packing to fly off to Firenze on Friday morning. The Passenger Locator and vaccine passport stuff all seemed relatively easy, but I haven't been on anything more than a couple of nights away for years, so I'm worried that I won't remember how to pack a suitcase properly. I'll probably be walking around a shop in Italy shortly, trying to remember the Italian words for socks and toothpaste.
