I would say yes the first top gun was cringe but not in a bad way. Ultimately it was an adrenaline rush. Maverick has the same cheese in it and throwback lines but the action is full on entertaining. I was worried it was going to be a "the message" movie with a pomp female that comes in and owns the place but even that never happened. It was a good throwback movie.

Just seen the last lap of Moto GP's Catalan GP. Aleix Espargaró was in 2nd place when he thought the race was over and slowed down. He dropped back down to 6th. He was aleady waving and giving thumbs up to the crowd because he thought he finished 2nd when there was still a lap to go.

The local government will never call for it to be removed. The TT fortnight brings so many people to the island. There's 80-90k residents here and the last TT we had 46k visitors. It's simply too big a part of the tourism industry and the economy generally. There's not much outcry from the public either to be honest. Nobody's making them race so it sort of gets accepted as their own personal risk when there are fatalities. There is irritation over the road closures and stuff but the young ones like me appreciate the boom in social opportunities and the older ones who have families just go on holiday for the fortnight because the kids are off school and it's cheaper than it would be in July/August.

Paul Joseph Watson is one of the most bad faith unreliable sources of insight and "news" on the Internet. Many of his followers like to treat him as the guy who's "actually telling us the truth" while ignoring the most logical conclusion, that actually there's a very good reason the stuff he comes out with isn't being said anywhere else, because it's heavily warped at best or completely untrue at worst.

Wee Kaiden loves visiting it with our daughter, if he is uptight about something (school etc) he likes looking at the graffiti pics, he will go home after and draw pictures of them.

Second fatality of the races this year already . It's a great event and a mini festival for us locals but one of those things like the Monaco GP in F1 (for different reasons) that just would never happen if you tried to introduce it today.

The PPVs/PLEs are mostly good from both. The weekly shows just leave me a little annoyed/bored. Either too much stupid shit or the same thing over and over again (especially with Raw). The MJF stuff is the most interesting stuff at the moment. And CM Punk winning the title is a good move (but Adam Page needs to be rebuilt). Everything with Jericho however is terrible and has been since he lost the title. For WWE, the Bloodline stuff has very little heat as they don't have any real opposition but the Cody/Seth stuff is good (even though that would be a lot better is Seth wasn't behaving like such a gimmick). Overall, I'd say interest is quite neck and neck but most of people's interest seems to be on everything going on behind the curtain.
