So the Sri Lankan president was supposed to step down today, but he fled the country instead and left the PM (whom he assigned as a PM a while ago after the former PM resigned due to the pressure from the people) as the acting president. There's now a curfew/emergency situation again, while the protesters occupied the PM's office and the party leaders had a meeting, asking the PM to resign immediately. Certain opposition leaders appealed to the Army personel/police/special forces to ignore any order from the PM or the president, and not to use force against the protesters. This is all not very helpful as the country is currently in talks with IMF, World Bank, and whoever the fuck is willing to talk to them in general, hoping to find the solution to restructuring the debt and getting the country back on track.
