@nudge @El Profesor September in el Salvador has been registered as their safest month on record. People in more developed countries have heavily criticised his treatment of the gangs in jails, but these are young men that literally terrorise that country to the point where everyone who lives there are affected and living in fear by it. El Salvador has(or was) always in the top 2/3 for homicide rates so this has made the fella hugely popular in the Latin American world. He also looks like Higuain

@Spike Just googled it and the tv licence is expected to be abolished in 2027. Probably had to wait for country to be completely digital and then some time to sort it out

I think the sheer impact on people's bills and living standards has become so pronounced now that they won't be so easily seduced by those headline figures of GDP and such. As an economics student at A Level and undergraduate it has always frustrated me how people assess political parties on how they handle "the economy". Obviously you want GDP to be increasing, but if the majority of the population isn't feeling the benefit of it in their day to day lives then what good is it? The state of things at the moment though, I don't think many people will be swayed by "GDP this" and "reduced national debt" that or any of those headline figures if their energy bills and mortgages are still through the roof.

I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't fly this year. If that happens though, the rocket will have to be destacked again, which will delay the launch even further. Those solid rocket boosters are not supposed to be stacked for so long; the certification is for a year, and I believe they have already extended it by getting a waiver. Structural integrity of the joints is going to be a worry.
