The impression I have looking from afar is that after the events from October 7th, the israeli government settled on solving their "Gaza Strip problem" once and for all. In other words, ethnic cleansing Gaza. Netanyahu and co. probably calculated that the Hamas terrorist attacks had generated a wave of sympathy towards Israel from the international community, and that they could push an extremely tough strategy without much public condemnation in the West. More, they probably counted that Europe, sooner or later, considering the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza, would end up accepting thousands of palestinian refugees, in a repeat of 2015. Obviously, all their forecast failed miserably and know they don´t really seem to really a plan. It seems that they´re killing innocent people due to a strange state of inertia. As the Vietnam War shows, even if one of the combatants kills a large number of enemies, it´s impossible to win a war if one doesn´t have a clear objective. This is a terrible tragedy, and the worst part of it is that only an intervention from the americans can bring it to an end. Unfortunately, it seems that one of the few bipartisan consensus in Washington is supporting Israel no matter what.

I would say their is a axis of power that levitates from China and Russia, Iran, Venezuela all in. The Venezuela/Guyana dispute will blow up soon distracting America from a European war. The EU should be strong enough to Repel Russia, it is not a strong military. The question is whether Europe has the stomach for a fight. One of the nearest misses of late, but I would argue probably not even the closest of the weekend. My loss is less about what I did pick, though it's absolute sods law to see that following a Liverpool victory in a low scoring game obliged at genuinely kind odds, that West Ham would blow my other leg apart after six fucking minutes, as their two goals meant it was not possible for my bet to actually win. The absolute sickener was how close I came to putting a double of Crystal Palace to beat Burnley and under 5 goals and Fulham to win at Man Utd - two predictions I can back up in the predictions league, that would've paid out probably the second biggest win of the season and actually clawed me to not far off the bottom. Alas, it's this game, so I'm just not allowed nice things. Though I do happen to remember that my other winner came on the weekend we played QPR away and we face them at home this weekend. I really am clinging onto anything I can here. I'll also be going for pretty high odds picks too because at this point, there really is nothing to lose.

Just FYI (although I'm not 100% sure he'd have known this either): Islamicist does not mean Islamic. All Muslims are Islamic, because their religion is Islam - that's what makes someone Muslim. Not all Muslims are Islamicists, Islamicists are the Muslims who believe in fundamentalist Islam being the cornerstone of politics. Sadiq Khan is Muslim, so he is Islamic. But he does not believe in the application of Islamic fundamentalism into his politics - so he is not an Islamicist. Ali Khamenei is a Muslim, so he is also Islamic. However, his political beliefs are driven by Shia Islamic fundamentalism - so he is an Islamicist. So using that word is not the same as trying to dismiss anyone that was against the Nazis as "Jew lovers" - there's a big difference between being Islamic and being an Islamicist.

The irony... Your posts trying to paint Israel as massive victims is embarrassing. Talking about how Nazi Israel shouldn't "stoop to their level". Suggesting they're being targeted randomly for being Jewish is the only thing pro-Israelis can hide behind but anyone that looks at the situation knows that's not true. Killing and oppressing endless amounts of Palestinians over decades and now seeing and taking the opportunity to commit genocide isn't "Jews standing up for themselves". It's a violent nationalist movement gone wild. Parroting the right wing, Islamaphobic, tactic of suggesting anyone that is against Israel committing a genocide must be an "Islamist" isn't gonna convince any decent minded person. It just acts as a dog whistle for bigots that want an excuse to be bigots. Imagine trying to dismiss anyone that was against the Nazis by calling them "Jew lovers". That's the type of person you're being right now. Israel will most likely get what they want simply because they have the means and the support and face very little pushback. They're not fighting against the odds like you're trying to make out. They're a powerful, violent, scumbag nation pressing home their advantage to complete a genocide. Fuck Nazi Israel.

Since this question was asked in 2021, has your list changed? Mine has as the list shows. I've Taken Narcos Colombia out and and Narcos Mexico is in. I felt as Mexico progressed it was over a better series to watch.
