Robertson's reaction tells you he thought it could have been worse though Oh fuck off Its absolutely a red. Lunged in having lost the ball - studs up on the ankle. Same as Aubameyangs earlier. It’s clear red and the fact it wasn’t checked is laughable
DeadLinesman Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Referees don’t exactly help themselves or VAR though. Robertson’s tackle wasn’t even reviewed, yet Arsenal got a red card for a very similar offence today. It’s not the end card that I’m arsed about, but why is one challenge reviewed and another isn’t?
Administrator Stan Posted January 11, 2020 Author Administrator Posted January 11, 2020 As if that didn't get a red card

Administrator Stan Posted January 11, 2020 Author Administrator Posted January 11, 2020 Aubameyang's was a much worse red. Doesn't mean Robertson's can't be a red either?!
LFCMike Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Robertson clearly wins the ball too by the way
Rick Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 It’s one of those that could have gone either way. I don’t think it’s a red card though.
Dr. Gonzo Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 Tbh I think it’d be a red but the ref isn’t good at his job

Inverted Posted January 11, 2020 Posted January 11, 2020 I think Robertson's could have been a red, but it's completely disingenuous to pretend the Aubameyang challenge was the exact same.

Downed tools, refusing to risk injury, pathetic that it’s ending like this

And got the ball well before he came into contact with the player. No foul.

I genuinely hope they sign him.

Just a shame he’s become such a fraud of a player and the fact we are still starting him

No it’s not, outside of Liverpool and potentially City there aren’t many great sides in the Prem, a lot of average sides. Man Utd finished 6th last season, Arsenal 5th If they beat Juve to a title it would not be like finishing 6th

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 11, 2020 Subscriber Posted January 11, 2020 Lo Celso was good when he came on. Whatever struggles he's had settling in or whatever's limiting him game time, surely playing him can't be worse than Eriksen going forward?
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted January 11, 2020 Subscriber Posted January 11, 2020 Also just seem some gifs of Robertson's tackle on Twitter. Wasn't really paying attention in real time. I don't think that should be a red card challenge in football but anybody that can't admit he's very lucky to get away with that when you see some of the reds that get given these days, is being wilfully ignorant. I cant look at that Aubameyang challenge though. About as close as you can get to a horror injury for Meyer without it actually happening.

In one case auba is tackling a player with the ball and missed the ball by a mile and just took out the running player. In the other case Robertson is dribbling the ball and got the pass away to the point the ball is already on its way to Mane before the contact is made.
