Honey Honey Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 He'd be a massive flop in England anyway. How do I know this? His name doesn't sound cool, doesn't sound like a star, sounds more like a right back. Only cool named players bang the goals in. Horoscopes > data.

Henry sounds like a reliable hoover. Sorloth sounds like a Sloth.

I remember in sixth form never being able to read King Henry VIII without pronouncing Henry the French way. That's when you know someone's fame has superseded everything else in history.
Dave Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 It's safe to say if they want my discounted subscription then humour isn't their strongest suite and not something The Athletic should try again.
Redcanuck Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 If stories about the cost of the package, 20m each for Raiola and his father, 300,000 a week after taxes for him and 150m to Dortmund, I can't see him going anywhere this year.
Happy Blue Posted April 5, 2021 Posted April 5, 2021 Erling Haaland couldn't contain his excitement walking through the Man City tunnel "Beautiful, huh?" The two words that Erling Haaland said to Borussia Dortmund team mate Jude Bellingham as he walked through the tunnel at the Etihad Stadium for training on Monday afternoon. What does it all mean??

Cicero Posted June 8, 2021 Author Posted June 8, 2021 Article from the telegraph suggests we are also exploring the idea of negotiating a deal for next summer in advance if Dortmund are holding firm in not wanting to sell this summer. Paying well above the release clause.
Eco Posted June 8, 2021 Posted June 8, 2021 I'd certainly not enjoy seeing him at Manchester City, but really there are only a few places that can actually afford him. I would be shocked if he went to PSG. Barca and Real appear to be in serious money issues, no team in Italy has the money to buy him, and then potentially Bayern is the other option, but I hope he takes a page from Gotze book and realizes the dangers of moving from BvB to Bayern.
Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted June 8, 2021 Subscriber Posted June 8, 2021 If the transfer was 2 years down the road it could be feasible, still probably alot more money then we'd ever pay so not really feasible but lets entertain this. He would be a replacement for Lewy who just came off a career year....... lets move along now k. Realistically with these sums it has to be england no? Real would love him but again money.
Happy Blue Posted June 8, 2021 Posted June 8, 2021 Id rather have Haaland over Kane due to age and similar fee, if we are going to spend this kind of money this summer we should try here first ..yes he's cheaper next season but will be more competition for him

Happy Blue Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 Apparently we have just sent an offer for Haaland. if he's not for sale this summer i hope this doesn't rub Kane up the wrong way! ..no way are we buying them both

He'll probably want to join the European Champions as history is repeating itself.

How can you be the best team in europe when you are only the 4th best team in England?? ..cup competition means nothing, Haaland knows City is the best team in the world right now and wants to come here like Hazard did, we was unwilling to pay the asking price & agent fee's, history might very well repeat itself but we are his preferred destination

Something he won't accomplish in two lifetimes at City under Pep unfortunately.

Subscriber Viva la FCB+ Posted June 14, 2021 Subscriber Posted June 14, 2021 Pep could turn him into a pretty good midfielder I bet.

Subscriber Coma+ Posted July 12, 2021 Subscriber Posted July 12, 2021 Athletic article and a few other sources saying that Chelsea don't want competition for Haaland next summer when his buyout clause comes into play. May splurge this summer to get him now that they have let Giroud leave.
