The franchise is already dead. Fucking Daniel Craig and the new films aren't 007, they are English Bourne films. Quote

Well the films were successes but I prefer my Bond films with a little cheese. They are too serious and I think Daniel Craig is fucking goofy looking with those elephant ears and blond receding hair. Which ones are your favs? And who is your fav Bond? I think From Russia With Love is my favourtie film. Quote
Danny Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Spectre was a masterpiece for me, but the last one was absolute gash. Prefer Mission Inpossible myself. Quote

Film - Thunderball, Live and Let Die, Dr No are probably my favourites. I do enjoy the more recent films because of the greater use of technology and gadgets etc but it's not a patch on the older films. Quote

Man with the Golden Guy - Best Film and Song in the series Sean Connery is the best Bond, with Roger slightly behind him. Lazenby and Dalton were a disgrace. Quote
Spike Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Lazenby and Dalton were perfectly fine! It's popular to hate on them but time has been kind and their films are finally being seen for how good they actually are. Quote

Dalton's Licence to Kill was edgy, gritty, and dark nearly 20 years before Casino Royale did and it did it better on a slashed b-movie budget. Edited August 19, 2018 by Spike Quote

I probably need to re-watch it, because I don't remember that being dark at all. Quote

It's no masterpiece but it blew me away when I was a kid. I'd never seen Bond so violent. It's a revenge film about Bond trying to assassinate a drug lord. Quote

I need my girl to grow up so that we can watch, and enjoy them together. Quote
Eco Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Oh, and the books are trash. I read the original books which started the James Bond series, and I can't see how filmmakers read that and made it into one of the greatest franchises in movie history. Quote

Pierce Brosnan was class in GE but shit in everything else. Sean Connery and Roger Moore were brilliant. Spectre was the last one. You mean Skyfall? Ah yeah Skyfall, Spectre was the inspector gadget style one wasn't it? Quote

I was never that keen on Roger Moore especially after Sean Connery but he still very much owned it... He was good in the Saint back in the day though.. The Spy Who Loved Me opening sequence has to be my favourite one... Live and Let Die was another good one with Moore.... Edited August 20, 2018 by Bluewolf Quote
Administrator Stan Posted August 20, 2018 Administrator Posted August 20, 2018 You lot inspiring me to have a Bond marathon. ITV2 need to start their re-runs again Quote
Smiley Culture Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 I’ve never seen a second of any James Bond film. 1 Quote

All just a bit of daft fun really especially the earlier films.. "but James I need you, So does England" all that kind of stuff... No matter what the situation, danger or foe he would always find a way out of it and end up with the girl... "Do you expect me to talk? No Mr Bond I expect you to die!!" only for him to talk his way out of it and save the day... Grew up on James Bond.. Quote
Marc Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 James Bond is a fictional character that has been played by people of different height, weight, hair colour and even nationality. Idris Elba is a world class actor and it’s no surprise he’s linked to the role. Quote
