Subscriber Dan+ Posted October 13, 2021 Subscriber Posted October 13, 2021 Did you see some of the stuff posted earlier Stan on Foxestalk? Was very much pointing to other problems here, and specifically not Rodgers. Was a pretty concerning read.
Bluewolf Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 Just now, Stan said: He has a project here and is pretty much in the middle of it. He is a mercenary... he will drop Leicester at a moments notice if the offer is there... besides he seems to have lost his magic touch with you lot.. If he went to Newcastle he could change half the players every season if the funding was there.. Anyway... Lampard's getting it
Danny Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 Got to wonder whether it's worth leaving Leicester for. £150m isn't a lot of money when the world knows you're loaded and you need to sign a squad and replace a lot of first team players
Subscriber Dan+ Posted October 13, 2021 Subscriber Posted October 13, 2021 Slight plot twist there then. The bloke who first reported that Newcastle had an interest in Rodgers is saying now that he's holding out for Man City in summer 2023.
Honey Honey Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 2023/24 the season Man City's demise kicks in and they are replaced at the top by Neil Lennon's Newcastle United
6666 Posted October 29, 2021 Author Posted October 29, 2021 Eden Hazard, Ismaila Sarr, and Ousmane Dembele being linked today. Is a winger really the top priority? Improving the defence and a striker that stays fit should be the priority.
Honey Honey Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 When the January window opens we'll likely have something around 10-15 points and at best will spend the rest of the season in a relegation fight. Can't see any "marquee" joining that.

Honey Honey Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 Don't bother clicking on the article, there's absolutely nothing in there to suggest he has been offered to us. Still, if true may as well. Even if he will be out until mid February.
Dave Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 If Lucas Digne has annoyed Rafa to the point where he'd rather play Seamus Coleman at left back then that seems like an obvious signing unless Newcastle have appointing Rafa in mind next season.

Looks like Chelsea are in for him as backup
Bluebird Hewitt Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 Kieffer Moore is yours for £20m if you want.

Danny Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 Saw Trippier is on his way? Seems mad considering youre dead certs for relegation

One from us, Watford, Burnley and Norwich will survive, probably with around 32-35 points.
Bluewolf Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 You sign Boomerang and we will take Trippier.... What did you offer him??? 200-300K a week??? That's a lot of money to kick a football around in the Championship...
DNA Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 Pretty big statement signing tbf, should shake up the dressing room a bit bringing in Southgate’s boy.
Storts Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 Trippier is so overhyped. I was so glad we got rid, can't defend at all. Will struggle in a poor side

Will struggle in a poor side I agree he'll struggle in a poor side, But I think he can defend, especially compared to certain other English players in the same position. He's got a wicked delivery too. But he's at home in a well organized defense. Newcastle won't do him any favors.

He certainly has good delivery and technique but the amount of times I saw him get sucked under the ball and beaten in behind isn’t worth thinking about. I’m sure simeone will have improved his positioning a bit but still think he will struggle in that team. Probably an upgrade for Newcastle regardless though
Guest Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 @Honey Honey got to be happy with getting trippier? Certainly not the kind of player you would expect to get when Ashley was owner?
