Not sure it's luck, as such?

He's clearly meant it.

Aye, you can see it better with this clip, I think he spotted the keeper off his line and thought "Fuck it, why not...", the same as Beckham when he scored from the half-way line.

Kieran Trippier claims Tottenham sold him to Atletico Madrid 'at the wrong time' despite 'car crash' form

Kieran Trippier has suggested that Tottenham were too hasty in selling him to Atletico Madrid despite admitting his form was "like a car crash" following the World Cup. Trippier signed for Spurs in 2015, but it took until the 2016-17 season for the right-back to impress while deputising for Kyle Walker.

With Walker sold to Manchester City in summer 2017, Trippier's fine form saw him become a regular for Mauricio Pochettino's side and earn a spot in England's World Cup squad. Trippier's high point came with a stunning free-kick to put England 1-0 up against Croatia in the semi-final, though the Three Lions eventually went on to lose 2-1.

Tottenham have handed indefinite bans to 48 fans who sold tickets on to Red Star Belgrade supporters for last week's Champions League match.

Red Star supporters had been banned from buying tickets following their charge for racist behaviour in July, but more than 200 were inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs found some of their One Hotspur members purchased multiple tickets and illegally sold them on.

I wasn't sure if I was going to watch it before yesterday.

Now I 100% am - you know the Poch to Mourinho switch is going to make for some good TV for sure.

Terrible news for Spurs and potentially for England, too.

He’ll be back in time for England which is good, we’ve got good cover without him anyway but he’s still a loss

You’d hope so. However, any delay to his recovery will then likely have a knock-on effect on his comeback and readiness to play for England.

I think between Rashford, Sterling and Sancho we’ll be ok without Kane, wouldn’t be surprised if Vardy comes out of retirement for the tournament if that’s the case.
