16 positive cases. Training ground finally shut down.

I imagine Brighton, Leicester and Liverpool will all be postponed.

Going to have a ridiculous build up of games

Only 8 members of your 25 man squad, you'll be fine

For now… getting new cases every day. They have to close the training ground or it will get out of hand. As Conte said earlier too it’s not just the players, it’s going home to their families etc. It’s quite clear the whole first team part of the club is impacted upon now and at risk. Got to be sensible

8 is also a lot. Biggest outbreak so far

All three postponed? I doubt liverpool will be. Brighton and Leicester maybe

Brighton definitely will be. Imagine Leicester too. Liverpool might be okay, but the problem is we keep getting new cases after every session. Need to see what happens after the weekend

Did the clubs stop doing the testing on a game by game basis??? I know they were doing it at it's height but have they stopped now?? It's the only way this could be getting so out of hand?

Rennes have put out a statement saying that there was a video conference betweent the two clubs and UEFA, and Tottenham announced that they were deciding to not play the match, but there has been no confirmation from UEFA that they've agreed to this. The Tottenham representative didn't want to announce the number of players affected. The rule is that the match must be played if the team has 13 available outfield players and a keeper. Since the match hasn't been officially postponed by UEFA, Rennes say they want the game to go ahead.

We will forfeit. We don’t really care. It’s not safe to play this game

We should really be able to see information about how many of these people are double vaccinated? If they’re not then why should Spurs get the huge benefit of rest before a very congested period of football. Fans aren’t allowed into the ground now without being fully vaccinated, why should players?

You really think this is a benefit to us? 😂 This is dreadful. Going to have a ridiculously packed schedule, with already the Burnley match to rearrange and with the training ground shut losing fitness too, just when we were building momentum. It’s pretty disastrous for the club all in all.

Even people who’ve gotten 2 jabs and then the 3rd booster are testing positive for the new variant.

I’m moving this fixture pileup is also probably just going to create another pileup of fixtures in the back-end of the season. I don’t think it’s any real benefit to Spurs.

We should still see the information. If fans have to prove they’ve been vaccinated to get in the ground so should the players.

That’s fair

Another week without a win for Brighton then. They are in free fall:ph34r:

12 weeks. Plenty of similarities between Potter's losing streaks and Pardew's.

Back to Tottenham... @Storts is there any concern about Fabio Paratici's involvement in this investigation against Serie A teams and what the knock-on consequences may be for Tottenham if he's found guilty of any criminal investigation? How much was his relationship with Antonio Conte a factor in Conte taking the managerial job? For example, could Paratici being forced our make Conte rethink about his position?

Whilst Juventus make up about 40 of the 70 transfers on the list to be investigated and the high profile transfers screamed dodgy even before we all learned of amortisation, there deals don't even look like the most blatant form of cheating. Four of the players 'valued at €20 million' that went to Lille from Napoli in the Osimhen deal are now back in Serie C/D.

I'm sure the correct documentation has been provided to the FA so they can make a rational decision over whether a postponement would be necessary.

Spurs, to their probable satisfaction, have been kicked out of Europa Conference League. Rennes awarded a 3-0 victory.

Superb from UEFA. If only the Premier League would act like that.

Tbh it’s just another benefit for them getting kicked out of a tournament nobody actually cares about.

Reduces that fixture pileup they’ve managed to avoid so far

Just seen this. I don’t think so, guess have to wait and see what comes out but as of now just business as usual. I highly doubt Contes job is linked so much to Paratici though, probably was a help but Levy was the driver of the deal both in the summer and now
