Gunnersaurus Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 I think we have a good chance here. Will always be a tough game though. Spurs 1.2 arsenal. Spurs get a late penalty and harry kane misses and knocks out E.T again
Lucas Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 I could be wrong but I just fancy a Spurs win or draw here. I think for the sheer fact of stopping Arsenal's challenge for the league is massive motivation for them and will lift them. For me, form will go out the window, this will feel more like a Cup tie. I predicted 2-2 so I'll stick with that but 2-1 Spurs would not surprise me. I actually think if Arsenal did get a point, it's a massive gain for them this weekend with City's result yesterday and one of their hardest games out the way.
OrangeKhrush Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 they will typical spursy, beat Arsenal then lose next week.
Redcanuck Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 I have Spurs to win, but a lot of that is wishful thinking. Arsenal lose here and next week , and if United beat Palace on Wednesday we are even on points.
Administrator Stan Posted January 15, 2023 Author Administrator Posted January 15, 2023 Open game so far. Spurs don't look as leggy as they have done in previous games. High pressing and putting Arsenal under pressure.

Redcanuck Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Arsenal have a very good starting 11, but they have a weak bench. An injury to Saka and they would be in big trouble.

Administrator Stan Posted January 15, 2023 Author Administrator Posted January 15, 2023 Arsenal take the lead in very odd fashion! Saka crosses but it seems to cannon in to the net off Lloris. Poor keeping by Lloris, even if there is a deflection. Flappy hands.
Moderator Tommy Posted January 15, 2023 Moderator Posted January 15, 2023 Lloris did not look good there. Even though Saka's cross was deflected.
Redcanuck Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Lloris has had a poor season, Spurs need an upgrade there.

Just thought that he's had a few howlers in him each season. Surprised Spurs haven't improved on his position earlier than this season.
OrangeKhrush Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Lloris is like my mother, fumble fingers
Lucas Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Complete opposite to what I expected. Arsenal have come out, got the early goal, killed the atmosphere and now are knocking on the door for another. Spurs are getting absolutely battered. They have to change this early surely.
Redcanuck Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Somebody needs to tell Spurs this game started 25 minutes ago.
Administrator Stan Posted January 15, 2023 Author Administrator Posted January 15, 2023 Son seems a totally different player this season. Doesn't get into games half as much as he used to. Becomes a passenger and detrimental to Spurs' play. Not consistent enough either. Obviously the bigger issue with Spurs appears to be the mentality and how they start games (granted they started today quicker, but soon fizzled out), but usually you could rely on Son (and Kane) to light up the team and get them on the front foot.
Administrator Stan Posted January 15, 2023 Author Administrator Posted January 15, 2023 2-0! Saka with acres of space lays a ball into Odegaard, who also has acres of space and smashes it in from 20 yards out.
Moderator Tommy Posted January 15, 2023 Moderator Posted January 15, 2023 Fantastic goal from Ødegaard.
Lucas Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Totally deserved. I can't believe how timid Spurs look. They look so scared to make a mistake and I'd go as far to say they look beaten already. Arsenal have to go for the third whilst they are so on top. That eliminates any kind of comeback 2nd Half.
Bluewolf Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 We need Arsenal to keep winning... anything to stop City winning it again, it's good for the game
Moderator Tommy Posted January 15, 2023 Moderator Posted January 15, 2023 Touches in opponents box: 1-19.
