This lawyer says Man City will win as the case against us is very weak and most of the alleged breaches have already been cleared in a court of law  ..i'm think now this is more to try mess up our massive planned spending this summer. they have waited until we needed to refresh the team, probably had Liverpool crying about Bellingham but i think now we are going to spend even more because of this, make sure the teams good for another 10 years

As someone who has done financial work & has a reasonable but rusty understanding of 'balance sheets' & 'profit & loss' statements (important to note they are very much 2 different documents.) I find the readily available explanations of Chelsea's multi year contracts sounds to me like saying, they have a cereal bowl, they're calling it a dish & that's how they have all those TV channels. And it amuses me how many just nod along, like they've just heard the words of Merlin.

I have heard people describe 'financial fair play' as being around not spending more than a certain portion of income, or averaging out to not making losses over an extended time period. That's nothing to do with balance sheet depreciation, which is how people are explaining Chelsea's recent spending.

If anyone is interested: a balance sheet always balances. There is an assets side & liabilities side. A club buys a player, 1 entry for the player as an asset. Balancing entry for the selling club as a liabilities side creditor. Pay the creditors, they reduce on 1 side, as does the bank balance on the other. Assets do also depreciate. The player asset reduces & a liability entry actually called depreciation is the balancing liabilities entry. That is not some magical loophole that has just been discovered. It's someone lumping a huge pile on red-8. There are very obvious reasons nobody else has done quite the same thing.

Yes, if they are paying the selling clubs in instalments, that would technically spread the cost & profit/loss involved at any given time. Because they retain bank balance cash that while longer. But it is proper big time casino gambling they can stay ahead of profit & loss limits. Not end up having transfer ban again. And descriptions of balance sheet depreciation just wrong & misleading.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola spoke passionately about the Premier League charges the club has been slapped with during his press conference on Friday lunchtime.

The City boss, speaking to the media for the first time since the 100-plus charges were revealed earlier this week, explained how he believes the club is innocent and that he is confident they will get the outcome they are looking for, though he accepted it will take a lengthy period of time for a conclusion to be reached.

Guardiola also confirmed that he has no intentions of leaving the Etihad Stadium, insisting that he wants to stay "more than ever".

Pep went in :4_joy: the whole club is now galvanised right before the Arsenal games, 500million spend this summer

Talking animatedly to your mindless legion of imbecilic fans that seemingly think cheating is ok or that you were found innocent of the UEFA charges probably does make you very happy. To the rest of us, it was like watching a Biden conference we know he’s either lying or he doesn’t understand what’s going on, probably both.

I think it's the opposite. Think Boehly is showing UEFA they don't know their own rules. :4_joy:

You’re either trolling or just thick either way waste of time discussing it with you. Enjoy the fact your club is laughing stock and even if you win the next 5 titles nobody cares and will respect you for it.

@Cicero From what I heard the other day City got away with it before because they couldnt go back more than 5 years?? They can with this investigation though. Most people know that if you have loads of money you can get away with things even though you are guilty.  Remember I said most

City have said they are going to address the 5 year thing too and show the paperwork to prove we are above board to stop all this slander against us, we want it all clearing then we are going to go after the people who was too quick to judge and tarnished our name. Like you just said to the outsiders they have decided we are guilty even when proven innocent again

This is the lift we needed this season, its us these the world, I think we will win the league now for the first time
