As has been the case all season, the bulk of the points came from the Verstappen pole-win combination, backed unanimously this weekend, giving everyone a baseline of 10 points. Sadly, @nudge was the only player unable to build on this total. This week's bonus question was resolved after the Sprint Shootout came to an end. The task was to pick the highest qualifying position from either session for a Haas car this weekend, and nobody was anywhere near bold enough to project a 7th placed start for Nico Hulkenberg in the Sprint. @RandoEFC and @MUFC were closest with 10th place, at least predicting a Haas car to make one of the Q3 sessions. Behind Verstappen on the podium, nobody picked Oscar Piastri to make the top three despite him picking up his first podium at the previous round in Japan. Lando Norris did see some backing though, with @RandoEFC, @Stan, @Tommy and @Whiskey bagging another 5 points each for predicting him to finish 3rd. @The Palace Fan, @Coma, @DeadLinesman and @OrangeKhrush were all too optimistic by one place, but secure an extra 2 points each. Perez and Sainz also saw a lot of love but were unable to deliver a podium finish for their backers. Finally, Fernando Alonso was this week's random driver. Incredibly, despite everyone's predictions falling into the narrow range from 4th to 8th, nobody managed to pinpoint his 6th-placed finish, meaning that 2 consolation points each go to @MUFC, @Tommy and @DeadLinesman who were one position out on either side. Here's what it does to the standings... @RandoEFC extends his lead by another 2 points having joined @Tommy on this week's top score of 17. @nudge's strong run came to an end with her low-scoring week alloweing @Whiskey and @MUFC to overtake her in the standings. @The Palace Fan and @DeadLinesman are now tied in what we'll call 9th place. In the Constructors', there isn't much between the teams this week but Red Bull's joint top score consolidates their lead by an extra 6 points, while Aston Martin match that total this weekend and close in on Alpine for 4th and 5th. Don't forget though that the pre-season predictions will be added at the end of the season and could shake up the standings entirely!
