Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted August 29, 2023 Author Subscriber Share Posted August 29, 2023 Results - Dutch Grand Prix In probably the easiest Grand Prix to score and summarise that we've had, everybody managed to hit the 10-point baseline by correctly predicting Max Verstappen's pole position and victory at Zandvoort. However, nobody predicted any further points for the surprise podium completed by Alonso and Gasly. This weekend's random driver was changed mid-weekend from Daniel Ricciardo to Liam Lawson due to the Aussie's hand injury. With those that edited their predictions dialling down their expectations, Lawson confounded the odds and finished in P13, meaning that the 5 points for this weekend go to @nudge only. Whether she simply didn't have time to change her original prediction based on Ricciardo's participation, or whether she simply kept the faith in his replacement, only she knows! Nobody correctly predicted that Lewis Hamilton would be the lowest qualifier from Mercedes, Ferrari or McLaren, with everyone choosing either Russell, Sainz or Piastri. 2 consolation points go, then, to @DeadLinesman and @Coma with Piastri qualifying the lowest of the three. Here's what it does to the tables (not a lot): @RandoEFC maintains a 2-point lead ahead of @Stan. @Coma's two-point advantage over those around him this weekend sees him move clear of @OrangeKhrush in 3rd place. @Tommy and @Whiskey stay level on points in the middle positions. @nudge's top-scoring week sees her overtake @DeadLinesman and draw level on points with @MUFC while @The Palace Fan is just one good week away from climbing out of the bottom spot. In the Constructors' standings, Ferrari's marginally higher score than the rest this week sees them move up to 2nd ahead of Red Bull courtesy of @nudge's random driver success. It's all to play for!
