Libby. Best behaved creature in the house, and her meows are silky soft.

@CaaC (John) I hope you keep the cat away from the gecko? I find some dead frogs in my back garden sometimes. Probably the cats that kill them 😪

Our daughters pretty well aware of things like that buddy, she grew up with animals and was even with me in the RSPCA for a couple of years, I do love cat's though.

We had a cat many moons ago down South named Jasper, I remember sitting there in the lounge and then the wife screamed, I looked around and there was Jasper, sitting there with his tail swishing looking at me with a live frog in his mouth, he dropped it and it started to hop all over the place until I managed to catch it and put it back out in the garden.

That's just a cat's way of giving you something in appreciation, he even came walking in one day with a dead field mouse in his mouth looking at me as if to say " Here is a present for you from me..."

That's our daughter's last of the oldest pet rats away, Charmander, she was getting very slow and weak and had two tumours so she was euthanized and cremated at the vets this morning, the daughter has been heartbroken all morning as Charmander was one of the first pet rats she adopted and Charmander had a good life and was over 2 years old which is good for a pet rats lifestyle.

She only has 2 pet rats left which are young so she is putting them up for adoption, she has already had a buyer for the cage and now our daughter will concentrate on wee Puddin who is growing up fast and a joy to see.

The daughter borrowed a mousetrap from me as she had a wild mouse running around her flat, it's been there for a while before she got Puddin but I told her Puddin will catch it but she said no, he is only a kitten...WRONG!!!!🤣

The daughter just texted me.......

She was going to try and let her 2 remaining pet rats out and introduce them to Puddin but she won't know in case Puddin destroys them.

My cats have never seen a real mouse or brought me a real bird because where I live it's not safe to let them go out (I think if they fell off my balcony... they'd probably die) - but they love the birds when they see them at the window.

But cats bring dead mice/birds to their owners as gifts - they think we'll want to play with the dead animal carcass the same way they would. Mine bring me toys they think they've "killed" in the mornings doing the same thing.

They actually get quite offended if you just discard the gift xD so it was smart of her to give Puddin a treat for a job well done.
