Rab Posted April 3 Posted April 3 I once asked my mum if she was going to watch the eclipse. She replied with "does it not damage your eyes?" I replied with only "if you stare at it before the moon fully covers the sun". She replied with "ok, so where do I look?" I almost facepalmed my head off my shoulders that day. 1 1 Quote
Administrator Stan Posted April 3 Administrator Posted April 3 Yeah it's mainly America that will see the best of it. Only parts of UK will see a partial eclipse at best. 1 Quote

Redcanuck Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Lucked out this time, Southern Ontario down the Niagra peninsula towards the US border is the best place to see it. Got some glasses, turned down a chance to work Monday afternoon, so will definitely check it out. Quote
Dr. Gonzo Posted April 3 Posted April 3 The library around me is giving out glasses for people to watch it 1 Quote

The weather here is expected to be poor as well. Think I read that my area would see about 5-10% if the weather's good. Quote
Happy Blue Posted April 7 Posted April 7 A rare 'Devil comet' will appear during the 2024 total solar eclipse. Here's how to see the Mt. Everest-sized space rock. https://www.businessinsider.com/devil-comet-visible-during-total-solar-eclipse-how-see-2024-4 @MUFC 1 Quote

Redcanuck Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Thought about pictures but they said it woukd ruin your camera, Was pretty amazing here. Had been cloudy all day but the sun came out around 2.30pm, and we got a good show. Totally ellipse at 3.18pm the temperature dropped the wind was calm and all the birds stopped chirping and then it got dark. glasses worked really well. 1 Quote

Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted May 11 Subscriber Posted May 11 The wife got a glimpse of them last night from our back flat window, I was busy on my laptop and missed them but hopefully I might take a picture of them tonight if the sky is clearer. Quote
