Rab
I once asked my mum if she was going to watch the eclipse. She replied with "does it not damage your eyes?" I replied with only "if you stare at it before the moon fully covers the sun". She replied with "ok, so where do I look?" I almost facepalmed my head off my shoulders that day. 1

Administrator Stan Posted April 3 Administrator Share Posted April 3 Yeah it's mainly America that will see the best of it. Only parts of UK will see a partial eclipse at best.

Redcanuck
Lucked out this time, Southern Ontario down the Niagra peninsula towards the US border is the best place to see it. Got some glasses, turned down a chance to work Monday afternoon, so will definitely check it out.

The weather here is expected to be poor as well. Think I read that my area would see about 5-10% if the weather's good.
Happy Blue
A rare 'Devil comet' will appear during the 2024 total solar eclipse. Here's how to see the Mt. Everest-sized space rock. https://www.businessinsider.com/devil-comet-visible-during-total-solar-eclipse-how-see-2024-4 @MUFC

Redcanuck
Thought about pictures but they said it woukd ruin your camera, Was pretty amazing here. Had been cloudy all day but the sun came out around 2.30pm, and we got a good show. Totally ellipse at 3.18pm the temperature dropped the wind was calm and all the birds stopped chirping and then it got dark. glasses worked really well.

Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted May 11 Subscriber Share Posted May 11 The wife got a glimpse of them last night from our back flat window, I was busy on my laptop and missed them but hopefully I might take a picture of them tonight if the sky is clearer.
