Although when I say they are accurate they are accurate as more of a form guide than actual rankings. They are mainly based on who wins gets point Like we have Cricket where barely 8-10 teams play the sport competitively and they play each other regularly so we have enough data to rank them properly whereas football is global too many teams who don't even play each other mostly, it will always will be difficult to find a system that is even 60% accurate. I'm not sure if that is that unpopular. To be honest that needs its own thread. Personally I think it depends on the quality of the league. Yeah, definitely. I’m a fan of International Football. The introduction of the Nations League has been a much-needed game changer to replace dour friendlies. That sending off just simply wasn't a red card, biased towards Man City, nothing even happened, he got sent off for literally nothing - obviously his reaction was worth one (but ultimately a moot point) but he's bound to react like that when given a red card for nothing. He tried to get Kompany to react as well and again, completely failed. It’s always been a bizarre idea that the best way for QPR to stay up that season was for him and a City player to get sent off. It wasn't until after he saw red that he started lashing out at everyone. Pretty sure he grew up an Everton fan as well, and QPR were in danger of going down if they lost. That said, I had a mate at uni who was insistent that Mark Hughes (then QPR manager) instructed his players to lose after he learnt they were assured survival by results elsewhere. A draw, IIRC, was enough to keep QPR up and meant City were 2nd. I’m not sure that I believe that he tried to take a City player with him, I don’t think he has that brain power to think that, this is the man who used a teenager’s face as an ashtray remember.
