Playing 3 injured defenders has cost us big today, shocking at the back. need to spend 500million in Jan, this team is dead

The balance is bad and there are a metric ton of aging stars.    It may take a big rebuild for City to get back to peak level.

An absolutely horrific and unforgiveable result against one of the worst relegation fodder teams I've seen. And that's where I was when it was 0-0. Everton once again refuse to propel themselves away from the relegation battle. We were unlucky there but you shouldn't need luck to get a result from a shower of shite like them.

Manager yet again has big question marks. Not starting Branthwaite. Continuing with McNeil in the 10. Taking off Ndiaye. Playing Harrison in the 10 instead of Lindstrom after that substitution. Leaving McNeil on for the whole 90 when he was well off it.

It's been a really poor start to the season performance-wise. We could easily be bang in the shit at this point aside from a good second half at Palace, a penalty save against Newcastle where we robbed a point and a last minute fluke equaliser against Fulham where we robbed a point again. It isn't good enough. Sadly we can't gamble on another manager because if we get it wrong we might well end up getting relegated. Anyone at the club who's thinking about extending Dyche's tenure at the club needs showing the door though.

Leicester can get fucked as well by the way. Trailed at both Southampton and Ipswich and been bailed out by red cards twice. Jammy cunts xD.

The team has declined massively and we have no midfield without Rodri. was lucky to not concede 6 goals today we was shocking at the back and Ederson had his best game this season to keep the score down. hopefully we buy Zubimendi in Jan with Rodri out for 12mths, Kova, Bernardo & Gundo must be the slowest midfield in the league 🤣 it's not working

Cooper bailed out by Ayew once again. Living on borrowed time. Dominated again for most of the match shamefully.

Fans outside of the club will think he's doing a good job just because we're not in the bottom 3. But pretty sure the main reason for that is in spite of 3 worse teams below us, as opposed to Cooper doing anything good.

We still concede too many chances and goals. Our goal itself was very good but we're creating nowhere near as much as this side should or could.

Feels like a big win that. Not great first half, I missed a lot of the second half, only caught the last 15 minutes or so but sounds like a big improvement where we had chances prior to the equaliser.

A great day of results.

Today was one of the best performances we have had this season bar the one against City or the cup game against Chelsea.    Howe has seemed to find the balance required by having Willock and Joelinton interchange between midfield and LW and having Gordon play on the right,  It looked like there is cohesion again as Willock and Joelinton have good symmetry,  Lewis Hall also fits their style well bringing out the first time this season it has looked truly balanced overall.   On the right Gordon, Longstaff and Liveramento worked really well together.

It has been a bit of a revival week,  the cup win against Chelsea and the win today has rejuvenated a bit of a stalling season.

Some very eerie similarities to the Southampton game. Penalty not given to them (wrongly again for me) with us a goal behind, red card ensues from the same incident, Ayew steals us a result in injury time.

I don't want to be constant doom & gloom (genuinely!) but I actually think that's quite a damaging result for us in the long run. It's good to prevent Ipswich getting that confidence boosting win and I think they'll be absolutely sick with that, but I think we're demonstrating a really poor level of play for the most part and our 'OK' results are going to dry up by the time it's too late. We've had two big strokes of fortune in our two biggest games of the season so far and I think this is what will paper over the cracks.

If I had to describe that game today it would be the first Championship game I've ever seen have VAR. Really poor level on show from both sides. Ipswich have intensity and very little else. Cooper's just guessing, he's got nothing about him at all for me, he's trying to go back to playing Maresca's system which tells me he's got very little idea of his own and very little belief in anything he's truly doing. Our fixtures are turning and I think we'll be put right back into it. It's big to not lose to them, and we definitely owed them a last minute equaliser after they did the exact same thing in both games against us last season, but I think it's a big paper over the cracks job sadly. I hope I'm wrong.

I will give Ayew some credit, very much his buy and if all of his goals are going to be this decisive then he's worth it. I did say when we signed him that he's somebody you bring on.

Agree with you though. We're a bad side. We will be in the bottom three in December.

I totally forgot Solanke was playing until that tame shot just before HT.

Poor game, poor atmosphere by the sounds of it and not much happening on the pitch.

You may have noticed I tend toward feelings & instincts rather than tactical analysis. But, on this occasion, I have to say Unai's line up, with the level of players Villa have, beats Ange's line up, with the level of players Spurs have.

Ange needs to change something soon, or get bailed out by an individual moment or 2. Would not put it past them. But right now, the match is being decided by the 2 coaches.

Can't really complain. Diaby was not really replaced. Bailey has had minor knocks / form issues. Buendia is still on the comeback path. And defensively Onana & Tielemans are not quite Kamara & Douglas Luiz.

Form vs the lower half of the table had been suggesting beatings vs the better teams. Anfield next weekend..

At this point I'm mostly trying to decide what exactly it is that James Maddison said or did to Ange..

Martinez is a lucky boy. Studs down the side of the knee should never only be a yellow.

Most, if not all, other games and that's a red.

Bad week for Villa,  maybe the first time the fixture list has started getting to them.   The have Brugge midweek which should put them one step closer to qualification followed but a rather horrible trip to Anfield before a rematch with Palace.    Bit of a speed wobble.

Spurs are either very good or very bad,  today they were very good and can open up any team when they play like that.

Fulham have been the much better side tonight, completely dominant in every aspect of the game. I thought Brentford were gonna do a smash and grab, but Fulham have scored two in the last ten minutes to take the points. Brilliant stuff.
