Difficult game for us tonight but a win would be a pretty big step to securing a top 8 finish.

Leverkusen aren't really doing that well. I'd be surprised if you don't win.

Difficult game for us tomorrow. I'd take a draw.

I don't watch their games but they're still clearly a good side based on that first half. Their results might not be as good as last season but they're still going to be a tough one to crack in this second half

Real Madrid are losing to AC Milan at home. What is happening to this Real Madrid team? AC Milan are not even doing great in Serie A.

Sporting Lisbon have come out strong in the 2nd half, they made it 2-1 against Man City and now they've just scored another goal to make it a 3-1 lead for Sporting Lisbon.

Gyokeres is a beast. It's a funny thought how many United fans will be watching their new manager and the striker they may well bring to the club with him beating Man City and taking it as a sign that they're going to be anything other than managerless and still shit in another 18 months .

Liverpool have been very good again. There's been some serious farmers league defending from Leverkusen for some of these goals though :farmer:.

Rodri is the glue that holds Pep's team together and he's out for 12mths. we need to hang on until January and hope we are still in the major comps because that was bad tonight, feels like the end of a cycle where we are going to need 7 top payers to come in and refresh the team, it's too old and slow in the middle, they cant defend without Rodri and sporting didn't even play that well tonight, 2 silly pens and 2 counter attacks where they walked through our midfield and defence 😂 ..feels like the Kevin Keegan days

What a day for football! City losing, Madrid losing, Red Bull losing. Excellent stuff.

Probably one of the few times you have wanted a brendon Rodgers side to win

Absolutely brilliant second half that. Thought we might edge with improvement in the second half but wasn't expecting us to run away with it like that.

Lookman is having a ridiculously good season.

Can't believe we decided not to spend £15m on him.

It was an important win for Shakhtar Donetsk against Young Boys at the Veltins-Arena, the home of Schalke. Shakhtar won 2-1 and Sudakov was no doubt the man of the match. After a poor pass lead to Young Boys taking a surprise lead, Sudakov then created Shakhtar's opening goal, as he ran down the left wing towards goal and excellently crossed the ball for Zubkov to tap the ball into the net. But Sudakov would then go on to score himself, with a lovely effort. Sudakov played a clever one-two pass with a team-mate, Sudakov then skilfully skipped past a tackle challenge by the Young Boys defender, ran towards goal and then unleashed a lovely strike from outside the area, that found the back of the net at the far post. The Young Boys keeper Keller had little chance in keeping that effort out and Sudakov's goal would prove to be the winning goal for Shakhtar Donetsk.

In a country where the war is still ongoing and Ukrainian clubs do not have the luxury of playing on their home ground, a win like Shakhtar just had is a real achievement. It was also good to see that Shakhtar played well with a team mainly comprised of young Ukrainians, namely 8 in the starting line-up, which bodes well for football in the country.
