MUFC Posted December 15 Posted December 15 The second goal, Amad took it well. But this season Ederersons fuck ups are being punished. He isn't getting bailed out like he used to. Quote
Administrator Stan Posted December 15 Author Administrator Posted December 15 I'm no liker of Man Utd but that is comical from Man City. That's amateur game management which you don't usually see from them. Guess they really do miss Rodri making all those tactical fouls in midfield in those moments. Quote
MUFC Posted December 15 Posted December 15 I want Højlund to pound Kyle Walkers wife, while @Happy Blue blue and Kyle Walker are tied to chairs and forced to watch. Quote

It's not just the loss of Rodri , it's happened at a time when KDB cant stay fit and has massively declined with Walker and Gundo a mist an injury crisis where we have had no fit defenders and Foden is in terrible form too picking up illness after illness. this team is done and if we don't spend BIG in 2 weeks it's because we are not confident over the 136 out come, if we don't spend we will get relegated Edited December 15 by Happy Blue Quote

I also dont see how Pep hasn't found a way out of this after as many games as you'll have been lackluster Quote

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted December 15 Subscriber Posted December 15 I'll genuinely be a bit annoyed if we go to City and lose. We've got nothing in attack but there's absolutely no reason we can't go there and grind out another 0-0 on Boxing Day. Just watching parts of the first half of this Spurs match. If you're a fan of Burnley, Sheffield United, Southampton, you probably absolutely hate getting promoted at this point. Go from winning almost every week to getting comfortably outclassed and taking batterings left, right and centre. It can't be a coincidence that the clubs who have fared the best out of recently promoted sides are the likes of Fulham and Brentford who understand the art of gradually building and improving every season. Gooner Posted December 15 Posted December 15 We 'deserved' to win because we had all the possession and they had 0 shots on target according to Arteta. Commendable achievements and I wouldn't want it any other way, but it needs to be backed up by an effective attack. We need plan A, B, C, D etc. We can't keep hoping for set pieces and expecting our only plan from open play to be options. He's had long enough and if either of the two teams above us win the league this season, it will be two managers in their first season managing in the Premier League, the whole process and managers needing time theoriy will be shot out the window. Arteta has done a decent job overall but you've looked really flat this season. Still lack a focal point up front in my opinion. It was poor from Arsenal yesterday. We did well defensively but I didn't feel like we were clinging on and there was only really one clear cut chance in each half. The problem with the football being poor to watch is that the fans will accept it if the results are good and turn on you the moment they tail off. Same has happened with our manager at times. Quote
6666 Posted December 15 Posted December 15 Southampton need to get rid of Russell Martin. The way he's set them up this season is criminal. Even if they've accepted their fate of getting relegated, they can't have him stick around. Quote

'Decent' sums it up and it's no where near enough for what he has spent on players during his reign in charge. We are weak on the left wing, we only have Saka on the right, Sterling fell into our laps on the last say and was basically given to us by Chelsea. He has basically no game time, just picking up splinters on the bench and being told how fantastic he is in the dressing room. We for sure need a focal point, Havertz isn't a striker and Gabriel Jesus has looked finished for over a year and a half now. It was really poor from us, you had that low block, we kept going wide like we did against Fulham, putting the ball in the box when we couldn't get through the middle and mostly as expected you dealt with it comfortably. Pickford made couple big saves but saves I'd expect him to make. Even in the last 20 minutes I never felt like we would score, it was very predictable. I haven't been a fan personally this season besides a few games and moments we've had in games, which will always no matter how the team is set up with some of the quality we have in our attacking ranks. Very true and you know how it works, you can't spend loads of money and mostly produce boring football and not win, it's completely unacceptable. Good luck with getting your takeover at the club sorted out. It must be really frustrating over the last few years for all you Everton fans to deal with what has been going on and what you have had to watch on the pitch. 1 Quote
Dave Posted December 17 Posted December 17 My favourite away game in a long time. I can't think of a time, even when we were in The Championship, that we went to The Amex and controlled the game against Brighton like that. With all the improvements thanks to technology when it comes to research and pre match preparation im amazed that managers with the reputations of Pep Guardiola, Unai Emery and Fabian the kid have been arrogant enough to try a high line against us. Ismalia Sarr showed against Micky Van de Ven that there isn't going to be a defender capable of catching him when you give him space to run in to. He was oblivious against Forest and Ipswich because they stopped that. You're creating issues for yourself if you just look at the table and think you can just play your game and get all three points against us. The Fulham game this season is the only game I'd argue we deserved to lose, all the others we've looked worthy of a point, and we're certainly not pushovers. Also Lewis Dunk is finished now. He looked completely out of his depth the entire match and I don't think it's a coincidence that Brighton's form has tanked since he's come back in to the team. Shocking waste of a spot in the England team last summer. Quote

Reminded me of Michael Keane in the pits of a complete loss of confidence. Quote
