Dr. Gonzo Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Mexico are countering pretty well, but they've got no end product (although one counter was squandered entirely by Chicharito - the man hes been compared with, Pippo Inzahgi would have burried the chance rather than take too many touches and waste the opportunity - that was very poor). Germany have had the higher quality shots so far and unless Mexico can put one away soon I think they'll regret being wasteful.
Guest Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Just now, Inverted said: Because it’s not often you get a CB who’s a monster in the air, insanely fast, comfortable on the ball, and who has a complete passing range. Not denying what you’re saying but even if error prone, he’d still be a formidable player. He's good - but he's not even close to the best CB in the world. His balance in particular, is atrocious. Get a player with good agility and he's done for.
Guest Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 And now you know why I can't stand Mexican fans. Doing the ole whislt at 0-0 and not even dominating the game is the norm for them. Throwback to the Copa America 2016 when they did the ole 3 seconds into a game vs Venezuela.
Machado Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 What's with the "Ole's" all the time? Will be funny if Germany score soon.
SirBalon Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Honestly... Mexico’s end product is pub league quality.
Administrator Stan Posted June 17, 2018 Author Administrator Posted June 17, 2018 GOALLLLLL! HIRVING LOZANO!!!
Inverted Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Mexico looking like a better version of Algeria 2014.
Guest Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Well in Mexico - are the World Champs about to get knocked out in the groups like Italy, Spain and France?
Administrator Stan Posted June 17, 2018 Author Administrator Posted June 17, 2018 wonder if @Teso dos Bichos chose to watch cos I'm pretty sure he said he wasn't going to until Osorio went They've been great today overall.
El Profesor Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Finally they score. It seemed only a matter of time. Both Argentina and Germany look older, worse, slower versions of the teams they had n 2014.

Storts Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 This is brilliant - proper world cup entertainment. Go on Mexico
Administrator Stan Posted June 17, 2018 Author Administrator Posted June 17, 2018 not even joking and I know it may sound biased but the way this Mexico team are counter-attacking at pace and leaving attackers up the pitch reminds me of us in 2015/16. Frightening at times and guaranteed entertainment.
Guest Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 To be fair - why would Low choose to stagnate? He built a proper side in the confederations cup last year with his B team. He could have mixed the 2 sides. Reus on the bench, Goretzka on the bench and of course Sane didn't even go. Those 3 have made a statement, and its very similar to the 2014 team instead. I'd say they are getting what they deserve so far.
Dr. Gonzo Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 So happy they've scored. Quite a few of my friends here are Mexican-American and my phone just blew up with happy texts with that goal.
Guest Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 It surprises me to see Germany so badly positioned. I have said it before and will say it again - Low is a great team builder but not a great tactician. Today, he got both of those wrong.
Administrator Stan Posted June 17, 2018 Author Administrator Posted June 17, 2018 these commentators need to shut up about Sane. Constantly going on about him. Everyone knows he's not there ffs.
