Administrator Stan Posted June 30, 2018 Author Administrator Posted June 30, 2018 That referee did not give 2 shits about Suarez getting hurt didn't get touched on the head at all
The Artful Dodger Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Definitely a foul on Suarez that, hard to sympathise with him though.
Guest Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 @Spike if they were all called blacks, would they automatically be from New Zealand?
The Artful Dodger Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Why are they fannying around with short corners when they have the best header of the ball in the area.
bozziovai Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Raphael indeed being a ninja turtle with that push on suarez

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted June 30, 2018 Subscriber Posted June 30, 2018 I hate short corners sometimes. The fuck was that from Portugal? This is Uruguays dream scenario but I still think Portugal will get a goal at some stage.

Not sure how well this will age, but honestly its hard to not call these contenders at this point. I was only in doubt because they couldn't seem to get their lineup right but Tabarez has found it and nailed it so far. With the best forward duo in the world and the best CB duo in the world, the lack of respect Uruguay get is shocking. World class team all around.

Azeem Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Tabarez took over a team that had been to only 1 of the previous 4 World Cups. He's qualified them for 3 WCs (inc one Semi) & won the Copa. Yet this team might be more talented than any he's had before. 12yrs of work & he finally has a team that can play football in the midfield.

The world cup experience they have too can't be left out. Just have a complete side all around.

There's no statistical advantage to taking a corner compared to playing it around the box, but when you're gunna take it short just to cross it in to a crowded box anyway then probably best just to use the corner..
Machado Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 It seems like all our players are behind the ball when we're attacking. No one showing up between lines or thinking outside the box... just the old wide pass and cross or something similar.
ASF Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 We're lacking intensity. When a team is sitting deep, you need to circulate the ball quickly and we are not doing that. Also, try some long distance shots, for crying out loud.
Guest Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Uragyay remind me of atletico Madrid the way they play. Really organised. Enjoying this game
SirBalon Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Atlético Madrid... Sorry, I mean Uruguay really do play like a club side don’t they.
The Artful Dodger Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Uruguay need another, if they get it I think they'll see it out comfortably but one goal from Portugal could shake them.

Azeem Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 I'm currently imagining a Uruguay vs Brazil semi final
Administrator Stan Posted June 30, 2018 Author Administrator Posted June 30, 2018 GOAL! Pepe scores from a corner!
