Guest Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Will update the results in due time lads. Been a tad bit busy lately.
SirBalon Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Well Done Brian... Thanks for all your hard and interested work on Perú's cup competition. Without all this we wouldn't have known. Well done!

Guest Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Cheers all. I enjoy doing this for you guys and will do my best to stay consistent until the end of the tournament in December. Anyways, latest results... Molinos el Pirata 0-0 Carlos Stein @RandoEFC A goalless draw but far from a boring one. Pirata and Stein both looked well up for it with both sides attacking with a lot of direction to it. In the end, a good match and perhaps a better result for Molinos than for Carlos Stein. Sportivo Huracan 4-1 Social Corire @Eco Sportivo Huracan were struggling when the score was at one all. However, Corire ran out of gas and Huracan went for the kill. Eduardo Zegarra, Diego Escuza, Anthony Rodriguez and Ramiro Benavente all scored for el Globo. This is Escuza's third goal in the competition and Huracan look well headed to the next round. Alianza Universidad 0-0 Leon de Huanuco @Dan @Stan Probably better known as the "battle of the Heraclio Tapia" due to the amount of bookings. 3 red cards total in this clasico. 2 for Leon, 1 for Alianza Universidad. The earliest red was for the home team and Leon really could not take advantage of it. Some players who stood out were Leon's Beny Gargate, Frank Carranza in defence and Joel Avila before his sending off, while the home side counted with Kevin Villafuerte and Junior Aquino. Alfonso Ugarte 0-0 Credicoop San Roman @SirBalon While the visitors are certainly a good side, Ugarte are not showing as much as they should thus far, and fans have already began to ask for Fredy "Petroleo" Garcia's sacking as manager. While they have 7 points, performances have not been convincing as the results itself really speak for it. UDA 3-1 Deportivo Caminos @nudge UDA look headed to the next round as a Kenedy Mendez brace allows them to beat local rivals Deportivo Caminos. Defensor Laure Sur 1-0 Venus Huacho @The Palace Fan Sheu Obregon scored the only goal in this clash as Laure Sur overcome a tough Venus Huacho team. Both teams are based very close to each other and travelling certainly wasn't an issue, but Laure Sur made up for their tough loss in Pasco with another win and now have 6 points in the bag. Estudiantil CNI 0-0 Caballo Cocha @Gunnersauraus A notable performance from Caballo Cocha's keeper Carlos Gomez keeps the surprise of the Copa alive and both these teams now sit at 5 points. Estudiantil perhaps one of the more disappointing teams in the Copa Peru so far. Alfredo Tomassini 1-3 AEB @Harvsky Nooooo! Tomassini's best chance to win has gone in this game where they face local AEB. The visitors win 3-1 and Alfredo Tomassini sit in bottom, with 0 points. Jerson Chumbes scores for the home side to tie it up at 1-1, but AEB win it in the last 10 minutes with 2. Bagua Grande 4-3 Alipio Ponce @Mel81x In perhaps the best match of the round, Bagua Grande win 4-3 against Alipio Ponce Vasquez from Chachapoyas 4-3 with a Cleber Portocarrero brace. Bagua now sith at 4 points and have another winnable game coming up. The next round of games are tomorrow, they are the same fixtures but reversed. In case you didn't notice from these reviews, all these games are local clashes within the same region. 3 matchdays left before the next round. Here is how each of your teams stand in the table... 4. UDA - Qualifying 5. Sportivo Huracan - Qualifying 7. Molinos el Pirata - Qualifying 9. Alfonso Ugarte - Qualifying to playoff 11. Defensor Laure Sur - Qualifying to playoff 17. Estudiantil CNI - Qualifying to playoff 14. Leon de Huanuco - Qualifying to playoff 19. Alianza Universidad - Qualifying to playoff 32. Bagua Grande - Elimination 50. Alfredo Tomassini - Elimination
Guest Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 The usual aim for points in this first round is 10. UDA and Sportivo Huracan have 9 and an easy run of fixtures. They should at the very least make playoff, otherwise it would be a massive bottle job. Molinos el Pirata have 7 but they have tougher games, so I won't totally count them as in so far, even if I expect them to qualify.

Guest Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Molinos el Pirata FC are up 1-0 vs Carlos Stein. Yoffre Vasquez scored the first.
Guest Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Alfredo Tomassini is only a few minutes away from their first win. @Harvsky
Guest Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Caballo Cocha 1-1 Estudiantil CNI @Gunnersauraus Caballo Cocha get another shock draw and continue their dream Copa Peru run. Meanwhile Estudiantil get an annoying, but at the same time important draw as losing would have nearly knocked them out. A draw was fair enough in this case for them. Leon de Huanuco 1-4 Alianza Universidad @Stan @Dan A Williams Roman disasterclass in defence allowed so much space for Alianza Universidad to exploit and Kevin Villafuerte, Joyce Conde and co put leon to the sword. AEB 0-3 Alfredo Tomassini @Harvsky Alfredo Tomassini did it! They won a bloody game! Alfaro, Angulo and Saveedra all get on the scoresheet as Alfredo Tomassini climb 10 spots up the table and are looking good to not finish bottom. Carlos Stein 1-3 Molinos el Pirata @RandoEFC A Yoffre Vasquez brace gave Molinos the victory against local rivals Carlos Stein. Molinos look well on their way to the next round with 10 points, the often sufficient amount to progress. Deportivo Caminos 0-1 UDA @nudge UDA continue their winning streak and are now at the top of the table with 12 points. They are nearly guaranteed a playoff finish at least. Helaman Chuy bagged for los Huancavelicanos. Social Corire 2-5 Sportivo Huracan @Eco Another team with a perfect points percentage, Sportivo Huracan put the Arequipa runner ups to the sword today with forward Diego Escuza bagging a hattrick for el Globo. Anthony Rodriguez and Eduardo Zegarra get on the scoresheet again. Credicoop San Roman 1-1 Alfonso Ugarte @SirBalon Last minute equalizer for the visitors. It really has not been a good start for them, while unbeaten, the favourites to win the tournament should really be doing a whole lot better. They are scraping through most of their games. Anyhow, 1 more win and they are probably into the next round. Social Venus 1-0 Defensor Laure Sur @The Palace Fan Similar to last week, Defensor Laure Sur this time suffered the defeat as Social Venus Huacho took it to them and beat them with the same decifit as vice versa the previous week.

Honey Honey Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 This is an omen that Newcastle will win on Saturday
Guest Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 Well, this matchday was a doozy. Here goes. Colegio Comercio 0-6 Leon de Huanuco @Stan This is the one I got to watch. Professional performance from Leon against a vastly disappointing Colegio Comercio side who bow out of the competition. Beny Gargate, Frank Carranza, Pedro Martinez, German Santillan, Julio Pusari and Jeanfranco Baylon all bagged one. Alfredo Tomassini 2-3 Social Venus @Harvsky So close for Alfredo Tomassini. They put it up within 1 goal in the last 5 minutes and chased throughly for that equalizer. On the bright side for them, they won't be finishing bottom. Bryan Caldas and Jose Castillo score for the home team. Alianza Universidad 2-2 Academia Sipesa @Dan Shock result. Sipesa get a draw against one of the favourites in Huanuco, but Alianza Universidad should still progress to the next round even with this. Bashi and Campos the 2 scorers. Defensor Laure Sur 10-0 Atletico San Agustin @The Palace Fan That isn't a typo. 10-0 was the result. Luis Molina the only one scoring a hattrick meaning all were involved in the play. Christian Cuadros bagged 2, as did Ismael Sanchez. Laure Sur look headed to the next round bar a disaster. Alfonso Ugarte 10-0 Minsa FBC @SirBalon Alfonso Ugarte finally clicked. Despite Minsa being a weak team, this was still an impressive win. Just like with Laure Sur, its not a typo and they did win 10-0. Gino Rios scored a poker and the rest only scored 1. This includes Bremen Horna, Alberto Vela, Gustavo Torres, Jaime Alania, Ronald Condori and Diego Angles. Estudiantil CNI 1-0 Municipal Aguaytia @Gunnersauraus Not as dominant as the aforementioned, but still a good win for a CNI side who bar a disaster should be in the next round now. Huracan 8-1 Hijos de Altiplano @Eco Diego Escuza scored his hattrick to officially qualify el Globo to the next round. Molinos el Pirata 5-0 UNT @RandoEFC A Yoffre Vasquez hattrick saw off UN Tumbes and essentially sent Molinos el Pirata to the next round. Jossimar Serrato scored the other 2. UDA 1-0 San Cristobal de Casaorcco @nudge UDA are into the next round officially after defeating San Cristobal who look like the team who will finish bottom. William Quicha the scorer. Bagua Grande 1-3 Bellavista FC @Mel81x Bagua Grande have been knocked out of the competition.
SirBalon Posted September 24, 2018 Posted September 24, 2018 Alfonso Ugarte is the team to beat! Just warming up.
Administrator Stan Posted September 24, 2018 Administrator Posted September 24, 2018 some high-scoring games! Glad good old Leon were on hand with a successful result.
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted September 24, 2018 Subscriber Posted September 24, 2018 More goals in a single match day as compared to two weeks in some leagues there
