Enola Holmes (2020)

Quite enjoyed it. A light-hearted, humorous spinoff movie in a Sherlock Holmes universe.

Watched the first hour of that and quite enjoyed it. Very lighthearted and entertaining watch so far.

Indeed! Reminded me of typical Saturday night family movie. Millie Bobby Brown did a great job, and I thought Henry Cavill is a fantastic Sherlock Holmes...

Do you watch all movies in installments? xD

I usually watch movies while I work out. And then if there's like 30 mins left, I forget, because I usually work out 60-90 minutes and need a movie that is that long. xD Or a TV Show.

Also, Millie Bobbie Brown is a really good actress! She has such good and charismatic facial expressions. Last time I saw her was in the first season of Stranger Things.

Watched it today. Better than I thought, which was good considering I love most things Sherlock.

Molly's Game (2017)

I just love movies that are written, and in this case even directed by Aaron Sorkin. The dialogues are so clever and satisfying. This was based on a true story, about a woman, Molly Bloom, running "legal"/illegal Poker Games with several celebrities. Funnily enough one of the most cunty Poker Players in this game is based on Tobey Maguire in real life. Anyway, great performances from Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba.

7.5/10

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019)

I heard about Mr. Rogers every now and then, but read and watched some clips about him prior to watching this movie. What an amazing human being he was. If everyone in this world was more like him, we'd live in a better place. I think this movie was an awesome tribute to this man, and Tom Hanks portrayed him wonderfully! Really makes you think about how you should handle life and especially people. Amazing.

8/10

POSSESSOR - 10/10

Holy shit this was good. Wow. If you like science fiction horror thrillers then this is the film for you. Original and clever. I was hugely impressed, the performances from the two leads are phenomenal. Highly recommended.

Onward -8/10

I really enjoyed this one from Pixar. Shame it’s looked at as some lesser film, because it’s much better than 99% of anything dreamworks or blue sky or any other big animation studio are putting out. Loved the setting, the characters and it had a heartwarming story which resonated with me quite a bit. Really worth a watch.

Utterly incredible if seen in theatres. Probably the best war film I've ever seen.

I really regret not seeing it in the cinema. If one of my local's put on a showing i'll sure be there.

I recently been working a lot of night shifts from home and been re-watching a few classics.

Godfather 1 and 2, Casino, Goodfellas and Heat.

I am a bit all ganster'ed out now but I can honestly say they just don't come close to making them like these nowadays.

xD Just curious what type of 'Night Work' you do that you can do from home???

Well I work inside a container port but my job I can do at home from behind a screen.

I work for a frieght operator running trains import and export out of depots up and down the country.

These terminals operate over a 24 hour period so it needs constant monitoring with loading and unloading in time constraints and getting trains away on time.

It pays the bills haha.

Nice, sounds like an interesting job..

When you said Night Work I obviously ruled out Burglar and Night Watchmen as a living if you are doing it from home and most paperwork/office type jobs can be done from home through the day but your job actually sounds off the beaten path... suppose you are going to tell me it's as boring as fuck now..

It sounds boring to me whenever I describe it, probably because I don't try and glorify it but it is interesting seeing how everything works inside the port for sure.

From the container ships coming in, all the big vehicles, cranes and machinery unloading these boxes and then us transporting them up country and what not.

It's had its moments too, especially when immigrants have used a container for a free ticket out their country, or poisonous spiders that have hitched a ride and need fumigating 😂

Oldboy (2013) - 4/10

Not a disaster completely, but hugely average and kind of boring. Nothing about it is impressive. Spike Lee even managed  to make the ‘big’ fight scene dull.

Seems a bit harsh I dont remember disliking it that much but outside of Josh Brolin's performance and Olsen topless it has nothing on the korean version; If you havent seen that I highly recommend.

Yeah I’ve seen the original and it’s excellent. Brolin was good (he hardly ever isn’t) but there were plenty of shit things about the film. Sharlto Copley was infuriatingly annoying for a start.
