LFCMike
Was brilliant that. Harsh on Federer but what a machine Djokovic is.

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted July 14, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted July 14, 2019 Superb and ridiculous match. Doesn't quite hit the heights of the 2008 final for me but still one of the best of all time.

Did the same against Novak years ago at the US. Federer was serving for it, Djokovic hit a now famous "close my eyes and hope for the best" return winner and went on to win in five sets.

Djokovic and Nadal can't match Federer's pure ability but both are superior when it comes to mental strength.

To be fair though Djokovic was a break up in the 5th as well today and got broken straight back as well.

Had the city championships today, in which my team won! But it lasted from 8am until 1pm, which was easily during all of the times of the match. Sucks Fed lost...But sounds like it was one of the greatest matches ever.

Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted August 16, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted August 16, 2019 Andy Murray and Jamie Murray to face each other in the next round of the doubles at the Cincinnati Masters. Should be an interesting watch.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted August 16, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted August 16, 2019 Andy Murray returned to singles this week as well. Looked very rusty and tentative which is to be expected but improved as the match went on. Lost 64 64 to Gasquet, who has been in decent form, so not too bad. Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted August 29, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted August 29, 2019 Would love to be in New York for the tennis at the minute! Need to get to a match at Wimbledon first though!
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted September 1, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted September 1, 2019 Djokovic, Federer and Nadal safely into the last 16. Djokovic vs Wawrinka is the tie of this round. Defending champion Osaka got past Coco Gauff to reach the last 16. Serena still in too, could be a rematch of last year's Osaka-Williams final. Jo Konta is the last British interest and faces the 3rd seed Pliskova next.
Machado
Does Serena hold the record for most GS finals lost yet? From 21-4 to 23-10 in GS finals. Andreescu wins the US Open at 19. First teenager to win a slam since Sharapova in 2004. A very hostile crowd makes it all more impressive.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted September 8, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted September 8, 2019 Andreescu also hasn't played at the US Open before this year, so very impressive victory from her.

Djokovic lost to Titsipas Federer lost to Zverev Berrettini is about to start against Thiem.
Eco
And Theim is out. What a great Semi-Finals we have. (6) Tsitsipas vs (3) Medvedev (11) Berrettini vs (5) Zverev All 4 are between the ages of 21 and 23. This is the future of Tennis right here. Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted October 11, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted October 11, 2019 Finally the younger lads are stepping up on a relatively consistent basis. Still need them to do this in a grand slam though. Did you see the Murray and Fognini kick off earlier in the tournament? Fabio is such a twat. I think Murray and Fabio are both very twatish. Fabio is definitely on another level. So happy for Medvedev, making his 6th consecutive final against Zverev. It's at 4:30am here, so I may watch it if I can stay up after the F1 race.

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted November 11, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted November 11, 2019 Nadal has never won the year end championships, because he sucks indoors. Take nothing away from Zverev though.
