Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted June 29, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted June 29, 2022 I don't appreciate his style of play but that was a near perfect performance of Isner within the bounds of what he has in his locker. Shame for Murray. People will say he's past it because he's lost in the second round but he basically wasn't playing for half of that match because of Isner's serve. Banana skins like this when you haven't played yourself into form are the danger when you're unseeded. Which is annoying because if he was able to play a near-full schedule he'd probably have crept into the seedings here. We won't see Murray winning more slams but he's still capable of a pretty solid top 10ish level of performance on a good day which is pretty impressive given the whole metal hip thing.
Reluctant Striker
If cheering on the Brits is your favourite bit, we've had it quite good for quite a while. However many semi finals Henman got to. I think Rusedski won a US Open. Then with no pause we were into the Murray years, with 2 Wimbledon's & 1 US Open. Although Raducanu lost, it seems likely she'll at least be Rusedski type level, for a while. Capable of reasonable results on grass, but perhaps best suited to US Open style court surface. I noticed 1 of the commentators in her 1st round match was pointing out how she may have a won a point she'd lost if the match had been on the US Open surface. Seems crazy how 14 of Nadal's 22 slam titles have been on the French Open clay. I guess Nadal vs Djokovic is the 1 I'll look forward to. Whichever round it is they meet, if they both make it. And I'd tend toward Nadal, who seems a less abrasive character.

Still had 10 it 11 fights after the tyson win. holyfield smashed him inside 3 rounds too I think. Raducanu is getting turned over far too easy and doesn't look to have the heart for thy fight. Still young time to turn it around Not sure how much dedication she's got. Needs to get a solid coach and stick with them and listen

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted June 30, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted June 30, 2022 Raducanu broke loads of records in that US Open win coming all the way through qualifying and the entire tournament without dropping a set, if I remember correctly. 18 years old, still in school, it's a highly marketable story. Locally, she's also the first British woman to win a Grand Slam in 44 years. It's a pretty big deal for a country that gets pretty dewey-eyed over their sport, especially tennis. Moderator Tommy Posted July 1, 2022 Moderator Share Posted July 1, 2022 Jule marches on! First Wimbledon ever and now she's in the round of the last 16! It was a bit nerve wracking to watch though. 21 break points.
Lucas
He splits the crowd massively and can be such a bellend but that was an absolutely epic match with Tsitsipas. Nick Kygrios is box office and it's compelling to see an absolute wildcard like him play the gentleman's game. Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted July 2, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted July 2, 2022 Didn't watch this match. Heard snippets about it. Some might find it entertaining but Kyrgios to me is 10% punchy, entertaining showman and 90% petulant and entitled bellend. I don't care whether you're a sportsperson in MMA or Dressage, a cunt is a cunt. That said, Tsitsipas is a pretty big bellwhiff as well.

Krygios is the common denominator in all the incidents. Utterly entitled cunt that thinks he’s ‘entertaining’ but ultimately it’s boring as fuck. One day he’ll get his head caved in.
