  1. 1 year since my daughter was born. Oh man what a fast year. Undoubtedly the best day of my life.

  3. It's not like that wasn't said numerous times though by people in the remain camp. If I'm honest, I don't have much sympathy for people who voted against their own interests because they didn't want to put in the time to learn exactly what they were voting for - just because a bunch of Brexiteers were making outlandish promises to them (many of which weren't very consistent). For years the EU has been used as a scapegoat, and people feeling the EU was why they felt left behind while other areas of the country remained prosperous (or became more prosperous) are soon to realise that it's actually Westminster to blame for the neglect of the parts of the country that aren't London& the South East.

  4. Bloody hell that takes me back He was an absolute myth for Rovers for about eight weeks in spring 2004, scored three winning goals in three consecutive matches that kept us in the Premier League that year. Sadly never replicated his form again for Rovers and looking at his Wikipedia he seems to have turned into a bit of a journeyman so the step down, especially to an ambitious non-league club close to home, will hopefully give him a good end to his career.

  7. About time he retired but what a career he's had. One of the best ever Indian players in my generation. Six sixes against Stuart Broad my favourite moment. His marvellous part in the 2011 World Cup win. His recovery from lung cancer. A legend of Indian cricket.

  9. Yea, he was nervous, but he's also kind of dumb. He earns his money by playing football and not delivering any clever speeches, so there's that. But he's still a bit of a simpleton.
