  1. Battle wounds.... I am going to tell my grand kids I got mine fighting Tigers in Burma or something equally outrageous..

  2. Since you're from Glasgow, I'm guessing the wounds largely came from knives and you stitched them back up yourself using fishing line and a sewing needle.

  3. There was a time I used to just spit on it and wipe the blood away and carry on but it was pissing so much blood I thought I had severed an artery or something... They told me I would have to have 4 injections before having the stitches in but I just told them to crack on without it... Almost regretted it though, the nurse was pretty ruthless but efficient.. They said I had to keep my arm above heart level but I told them according to my kids I don't have one so that didn't matter... Tough as old boots me mate..

  8. Enjoying this.. I like the idea of him being able to disguise himself with the faces of a thousand monks.. the perfect assassin unless you go round telling everyone you save that you are a cook then it wouldn't take Sherlock Holmes to narrow down the list of potential suspects would it..

  11. It's probably 6-8 weeks, unless it was a pretty severe tear. But Klopp doesn't want to put a timetable on and just wants to let him recover at whatever pace, rather than putting pressure on him to return. Which is fair enough, we don't want to put him out when he's not fully healed and have a more severe repeat of this. It's a long season, we need him for as much of it as possible. It's a bit mental that Adrian is now in the position he's in after a summer not attached to a club until days before the window shut, and he's got big shoes (gloves) to fill... we know he's not as good as Alisson - he knows it too. We just have to keep working as a unit and doing the best we can in this bad situation and hope that he does a good job while also hoping that Alisson is ready to go ASAP. I've seen Adrian have good games against us, I've also seen him get utterly rocked by us - he seems like a keeper that's capable of good moments and capable of moments of madness... which we're a bit used to. I hope the crowd gets behind them, he got a good reception for just hopping in, the squad are now trying to big him up. If he's full of confidence and can fill in for a... month or two admirably that won't fuck us up too badly. I'm just relieved it's not an Achilles issue, which'd keep him out for the whole season. It's shit, but it could have been much worse. And we've seen also with Sane, who walked off the pitch against us when he'd torn his ACL... it can be a lot worse, even when it doesn't seem too bad initially because the player feels strong enough to walk.

  13. Yes, Icardi's attitude is terrible, he behaves like a spoilt brat. I think he will cause some kind of trouble at most clubs he joins despite his obvious footballing talent. I agree about Lyon, they usually buy real prospects at a young age, they develop them and then thet sell them off for a big profit. Quite a few clubs in Germany follow a similar system to that as well. But Lyon always seem to maintain their competitiveness as we saw last season, when they even beat Manchester City. Juninho is arguably the best scoring free kick taker in history. He seemed to score every time there was a free kick within shooting distance of the goal. He was a good all round footballer as well, who was very skilled.

  17. Well at least you got it stitched up... I got my inner arm sliced pretty badly many years ago; pretty much ignored it then and have been sporting a pretty wicked scar ever since

  20. Well get better mate. I've never suffered anything like that, by my Mom was washing glasses by hand, and one broke and dove in deep into the meat right below the thumb. Quite a mess and she still doesn't have the same grip.

  21. Yea, was up the hospital yesterday and they stitched it up and have covered it over, stitches need to come out in 7 days if all is well with it, It's torn through some of the muscle on the wrist which is why it's causing me a problem.. lucky for me it missed anything major she said, it went quite deep and across though so probably what's causing the pain, even when I click the mouse button it's causing me some discomfort.... The missus said I am not allowed out in the garden with tools unsupervised anymore..

  27. Hey! I’m new to the forum and I follow Leverkusen. I haven’t been properly following them long but have been watching the Bundesliga for a few years now. I picked Leverkusen because they were the first side I rooted for when they were in the 2002 CL final. They are not as popular as some of the other big sides and I like that too.

  30. They feel about the same, less blood with man flu though... I got a good boy sticker from the nurse but they don't do lollipops anymore due to the cutbacks which was disappointing... got lucky the way it sliced rather than going deeper if there is such a thing as a good slice when stabbing yourself..

  31. That's me and the wife and family a wee bit relieved now thank fuck, our son went to the docs about 6 weeks ago as he found 2 small lumps around his old fella (dick), so as a precaution the doc arranged a hospital appointment to get them removed in case it was cancerous, he had the op a month ago and got them removed and had to wait for a month so they could examine the lumps and let him know. He has just got back from the hospital and the results came in as ok and they said it was just a virus he must have had that caused the lumps and really he did not need the op and antibiotics would have cured the lumps but we are glad he got the all-clear anyway. He has just left after letting us know the results and I asked him what did he have planned now that worry was over with and he said "Well pops, my mate has been nipping my brain to play some matches in his team (Sunday League) and I can do it now but tomorrow night I am going out with my mates and get FUCKING SLOSHED seeing I have not had a decent drink for over a month because of my bollocks carry on".

  32. This cut is proving to be more problematic than I first thought.. can't put any pressure on my hand at all.. couldn't even butter my toast a minute ago, my Chelsea had to do it for me.. more painful than I would have thought as well for what it seems...

  33. Well, that was quicker than I thought. But why not Kvyat? I think it's too soon for Albon. Hopefully this won't kill his career.
