  1. I think it’s a good thing overall for us though, even though we’ve lost a well respected and highly rated youth coach. It makes being our youth team manager look like it’ll qualify you to be the first team manager of at least a League One side & I suspect we’ll be loaning him a few kids for their development while he’s with them. So I think it makes working with our youth team a bit more attractive and in the immediate future let’s us have a place we know and trust they’ll be getting good time on the pitch to develop.

  8. Why am I on ignore? I really haven't done anything to you, and you need to start growing a thicker skin. Not everyone who disagrees with you is your enemy. You claim everyone is against you, everyone is ganging up on you, while at the same time you make almost every topic ABOUT YOU. Memes are satire, and not to be taken too seriously. So I will continue as I please. Or in your words "don't tell me what to do". Thank you.

  9. Excellent article which can spawn myriads of questions into how data and its usage in scenarios ultimately leads to a deeper understanding (even if its skewed to fit a purpose). I remember reading a Nassim Nicholas Taleb book called "Antifragile" that deals with how disorder creates scenarios of importance in situations where you'd least expect them to. This of course was backed by math and then by numbers but you then have to ask yourself how good the AI is ever going to be if it doesn't truly have all the data it needs to make that math work. Just because an equation works doesn't necessarily mean its being applied correctly. This is where that genius bastard Yoshua in Montreal made some serious inroads. His paper on neural networks and how they can be used to further learning by simply introducing metas into formulas as a way of testing learning is astounding (i'd recommend a read if you like formal languages and automata theory but it turns into a dull affair if you don't grasp that concept as hes not the kind of person who likes to do things which can be understood by people who dont have their fundamentals right). All said and done this is a part of AI that goes beyond what we think Machine Learning is going to be useful for. Just because a machine can churn out data based on what its given to produce results is still looking at the problem as a box versus a universe. I also think that statement about this being the last hurdle is ridiculous and the kind of thing you'd expect from someone at MIT or Columbia just because they themselves are victims of causality and trying to put it in a box with a limitation that math can solve when the reality is that there are way too many variables in play to truly say it will work without seeing everything (and that imo isn't happening for the next 100 years or maybe more just because of how much society and our living and understanding changes every day)

  10. I'll warn you as before that it's a slow burner and, because it was originally on PS3, it's not a great looking game (not terrible, but compared to other games it's noticeable). Keep at it though and it starts to shine.

  11. https://www.technologyreview.com/s/615189/what-ai-still-cant-do/ A good read about one of the limitations of AI currently and what is being done to overcome it. Also there's an interesting takeaway there that the same limitation also applies to human minds and how it has been causing (hehe) problems in scientific research for ages. @Mel81x

  15. All countries should have banned China flights and implemented proper border controls with strict health checks and aggressive testing from the very start instead of sticking their heads in sand and ignoring the threat for almost two months hoping it would somehow disappear by itself.

  16. Parasite - 9/10 Just a brilliant movie. It really just is good on every level. It's gripping all the time at through, it's funny and hits you hard, it keeps you guessing, and I've been juggling different questions about it in my head ever since I left the cinema. Looks great as well, it's brilliantly acted, and the music is equal parts hilarious and disturbing.

  17. Sadly, a lot of people in the Middle East think this is how diseases spread; that the germs occupy one body and if you pass it onto other people the germs are no longer in your body. Which is pretty mental and doesn't explain things like "flu season" or "the plague."
