  6. Sounds good! If you plan taking quite a few trips during your time there, consider getting the Berner Oberland Regional Pass, as transportation is expensive and it will save you a lot of money!

  7. Never want to go there. Well, don’t wanna go anywhere near Kuta. The airport is enough for me. It’s just white trash from Australia that plagues thst place.

  8. I'm sure there are people out there with little to no formal qualifications who are still doing a stellar job; I also knew someone who got hired in Vietnam without it, but took the job seriously and got certified later on, not because the school required it, but because he wanted to improve as a teacher and give more to his students. So even without formal qualifications, one's attitude can make a huge difference. As you said though, the problem is that the majority of the teflers are only looking for means to finance their prolonged holiday or travels, not realising (or rather not caring) that they are doing so at the expense of the kids and quality of their education, especially in countries where education is the absolute key to development and improving the living standards.

  9. Well, that's how it should be, but unfortunately, that's not always the case. Pretty much all over Southeast Asia, many private schools with good reputation, international schools and language centers only require a bachelor's degree (NOT necessarily in teaching - can be completely unrelated, which is bloody ridiculous) and a native speaker status (or proof of fluency if you're a non-native), some ask for TEFL/TESOL/CELTA in addition to that. Sadly, actual teaching qualifications, experience and relevant educational background are seen as a plus (and a bargaining chip for better salary), but not as a non-negotiable requirement. There are obviously some exceptions, but the massive shortage of foreign teachers means that even proper schools are often forced to fill their positions with people who don't necessarily have appropriate qualifications.

  10. By proper teacher I meant in an international school setting. There are so many opportunities out there for people who complete TEFl, TESOL, CELTA, or whatever they’re called and some of those people can be amazing. You’re just usually likely to get someone who wants a holiday. I don’t have a masters, but in the future I’m looking to further my own education by doing some post-grad stuff.

  12. It makes me laugh how people just ignore this when discussing Wenger now. We was only going more and more downhill with him at the helm. I don't entirely blame him but his last season at the club is why we are in this situation now. 17/18 crippled the club for a good few years.

  13. City won the league in 2017/18 yet Salah won POTY given he was the only consistent player that produced great numbers. Things have virtually switched so KDB not winning it and adding to the fact Liverpool’s best player(s) didn’t even win, screams agenda.

  14. @Viva la FCB and @Spike - Did you guys see this? "It's a very unique and unusual name in sports, because almost all sport franchises end with an 'S,'" Andy Jassy, a part-owner of the team, told ESPN. "There are a lot of obvious connections to Seattle -- part because of our maritime history; part of because we have so much water around us -- but there is longtime folklore in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest of this mystical Kraken creature that lives just below the surface of the sea, which really captivated people for many years. That mystique, that intensity, and that power that people have long talked about with the Kraken is what we expect our NHL team to play with." Two things - 1. Name is hilarious, but somehow sounds minor league to me 2. Colors of blue and red is disappointing, as all teams in Seatlle have the same, unique, color scheme, and none of them have 'sharp red accents'. I guess the problem with their color scheme is that it would have matched the Canucks and that would be a massive no-no I assume.
