  1. Jordan Brown just won the Welsh Open, defeating Ronnie O'Sullivan 9-8 in the final. He was a 750/1 chance at the start of the tournament A great sporting story, and a very entertaining final.

  2. Thanks a bunch! It was definitely sunrise. I woke up early and kept trying before work for a few days until the timing was perfect eventually got a few good shots out of it. As the years went on my view got worse as that tree kept growing and getting bushier lol The first I think I like the most probably for the memories that all come along with it.

  3. No idea really but I'd imagine he got really busy as Mumbai had the worst of the lockdowns. I'm sure he'll be back soon.

  4. Count me to the list of fans of the second one, really really nice. Looks so peaceful... I love night light trails in general, and the warm temperature/pastel colours in this one is very nice. Is it close to sunset or close to sunrise? Nice capture, either way... The first one looks epic!

  6. Good idea. It's hard to pick as I probably have a 1001 pics of the Dog alone, but I like this one I took of the Eiffel Tower in Paris a couple years ago. It seemed to get a few likes. Also this one. We were on quad bikes in Protaras and found this lovely quiet hidden church/place of worship made out of the rocks (I'd seen it online previously). No one was around, it was so quiet and yet it felt quite unusual. I mentioned I have loads of our dog all pretty cute, especially when sleeping, but this one I love purely because you can see how transfixed she is with the bubbles.

  7. Good question. Only one? I have 2-3 favourites. This one is up there for sure: And this one. Now I broke the rules.

  8. A Düsseldorf Instagram community shared a picture of mine which received 600 likes. https://www.instagram.com/p/CJVFcsvslLn/ Not necessarily my favourite I've ever taken though.

  9. Great idea @nudge! My absolute favourite image I've shot is when there were weekly fireworks displays one summer near where I used to live. It was a chance every week to hone my skills and really experiment with how best to shoot the fireworks. This one was my favourite from the hundreds of photos I took over those few weeks. The photo that seems to get the most attention is this one that I took on a ferry trip to Amsterdam: I love the photo as well but there's so many things I'd have done differently if I was to take it again. But I guess that comes with developing as a photographer. I believe this was one of the first I took with my DSLR.

  11. Ha, the very idea of my post came from scrolling through my photo feed earlier today and wondering why some of my photos got more likes than what I think they deserve, whereas the ones that I do like best seem to be less appreciated, as a general rule So I definitely see what you mean. I like the composition of the second one; natural framing is great in how it leads the eye to the background, and I also like how "layered" the background looks with some hills behind other hills. Where is that?

  12. @nudge I always find that the most liked or favourited pictures I post, are usually some of my least personally favourites. This first picture may not be THE most liked of mine, but it got a lot more than what I usually get on my insta feed. The second picture is one I took about 4 years ago, and I’m still very happy with it.

  13. I also didn't choose the one with Totti in Mykonos which got a shit load of likes clearly not for me So this is one I took of Southwark Bridge. I love the darkness, the glimpse of colour, the spots of lights from the lampposts, the landmark of St Paul's Cathedral in the background, the still calm water amongst the hive that is London in itself. One of my favourites pictures. I have others up there but the rule is one so will stick to it! Also, one of very, very few photos I didn't filter This is one that's most rated by others, and I can see why if I do say so myself You know when you get caught in a moment, and someone takes a picture, and you don't realise you were in that moment until you see it back? Well that's the feeling I had here seeing this one. The sunset, the backdrop, the still seas. I'm not that religious but the cross has some kind of significance here which I can't put my finger on. But I love it's a silhouette of me. Most pictures including people I see aren't usually like that and I guess you don't get many opportunities for someone to take a picture like below, without you knowing!
