  2. That's why I picked it... and surely being able to teleport 7 inches might come in useful in a fight... or you could use it to go from one side of a locked door to the other..

  3. What is this? A list of most useless superpowers? I'd choose 2 and 5. 2 because you can always sell gravel, and 5 because it would be fun to fuck about with people's toasters

  4. Yeah, even if the attitudes are changing, there's still a stigma around men's mental health. Suicide is the single biggest cause of death among men under 50, and yet there is still this societal pressure on men to always be strong, resilient, stoic, unemotional and to not show any "weaknesses". Stupid af.

  11. Nah, 2 is the most useful as you can make a living solely from selling endless amounts of gravel...

  13. You've already got 4 and 9, so with 2 more you'd literally be getting recruited by the X-Men.

  14. I would pick 2 and 3...

  15. Indeed. The impact of Enke's death in that regard was not significant enough at all.

  16. Yeah, even if it has improved massively in the last decade or so, it still can be a hard thing to admit and talk about. Especially for men.

  17. Hopefully the worst is behind him now. And yes, it's quite important that it gets normalised, because that's what can happen to any human being. It is a shame that it's still a bit of a taboo for so many.

  18. One of the craziest mornings for me when I was working and I am sure I have mentioned it before in here somewhere is one morning I woke up as per normal around 04.30, crawled out of bed with a slight hangover, made my way into the bathroom, had a shower then made my way into our bedroom. Got dressed in my suit and tie etc getting ready for work, now, I like to be alone first thing in the morning before I go to work, no breakfast but just a cup of coffee then think about the day ahead. This particular morning I was sitting there supping away on my coffee when the wife came in and sat down beside me rubbing her eyes, I then said "What are you doing up at this time in the morning?" Liz just looked at me and said "What are YOU doing up dressed in your suit and tie? it's Saturday morning you are off work for the weekend", then she made her way back to bed. I thought to myself SHIT , went back to the bedroom and took my suit off and just dressed into some scruffs, and just stayed up watching tv and on the laptop.

  20. They aren't deluded. They just aren't educated about the political reality. Because there are no mechanisms in the UK for good information to be delivered into the public sphere. Politicians have every incentive to lie to suit their own needs with no significant consequences, the majority of the privately-owned media is utterly corrupt and the BBC has been cowed so badly by the last few years of Tory government that they won't relay accurate information about anything political in their programming for fear of getting hammered on their impartiality rules. Most people still don't have the first idea that you can't just "reverse Brexit" and you can't expect them to because, unless they've gone looking for the information themselves or happen to have acquired some relevant knowledge through their education, nobody's ever told them.

  21. Watched Moana the other day with my daughter, the first film she's sat and watched. Loved watching her watching it more than the film itself

  22. Ha!!!, when I retired I still kept waking up at 04.30, jumping out of bed thinking I had to get ready for work, which lasted for about a week or two.

  23. Picked up Stray over the Christmas holidays and loved it, finishing the main story this morning. It's not the biggest of games (I finished with a time of just under 7hrs) but it was really fun to play a game a bit outside of the box, playing as a stray cat in a post apocalyptic world inhabited by robots. I played it in three settings and was glued to the screen for each one - I only wish it was a touch longer (or that the devs would potentially drop a DLC to keep the story going). If it's ever on sale (for around £15 or so) then I really recommend picking it up.

  24. He’s got that nickname instead of being called Jim Jordan cos he was implicated in some sort of child molestation scandal while he was a wrestling coach
