Eco Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 I am somewhat proud of my morning routine, but I often meet people who seem to be a mess in the morning. Do you have a morning routine? If not, have you considered a more organized routine for the wee hours of the day?
Cicero Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Wake up at 6:45. Turn the coffee on. Shower. Get dressed. Get my lunch ready. Wake up my daughter. Get her milk. Get her dressed. Drop her off at School. Head to work and hope I’m there before 8.

nudge Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Well it isn't exactly morning anymore when I wake up but anyway... Wake up Drink a glass of water Shower/brush teeth/etc Put the kettle on Make bed Get dressed Drink tea while reading the news Done. Used to always be pretty much the same when I had a "normal" schedule and had to get up in the morning; it just used to be coffee instead of tea.
Eco Posted February 7, 2020 Author Posted February 7, 2020 I wake up at 5am each morning. Coffee makers automatically starts at 5:30am. I always shower, spend 30 minutes meditating, read the news and/or some of a book, and then once 6 arrives, I wake up the daughter, feed her breakfast, get her ready for school, and then back her in the car for her Mother to take to daycare. Once they are gone (usually around 6:45), then I am alone and can start working whenever.

Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted February 7, 2020 Subscriber Posted February 7, 2020 I normally wake up around 5ish and then go and take my medicine, if I don't go back to bed then it's a shower, make myself a coffee then start the tv up for the early morning news and switch this laptop on and surf the net, wait until the wife gets up then we will plan the day ahead shopping wise. Normally every month (Thursday's) when I get my pension the first think on the agenda is to pay my monthly bills, rent, council tax etc, once I have done that then I will relax as I know my bills are paid and up to date.
Administrator Stan Posted February 7, 2020 Administrator Posted February 7, 2020 Wake up. Brush teeth. Shave (if needed) and shower. Get changed or get ready for the day. Breakfast. Start work. Eat my lunch before lunchtime then need to get new lunch
Dr. Gonzo Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 I used to get up and have coffee then go for a bike ride before I went back home to shower and go to work. Now I don't have time for that anymore. So the bike only gets ridden on the weekends... sometimes... I should ride my bike more again. I've got my coffee maker on a timer so when I wake up I've got a shitload of coffee ready to go. So the first thing I do when I get up is have coffee. Then I usually put the TV on and watch some shite, usually the news, while I make breakfast. Then I eat that breakfast I've made for myself. With more coffee & some OJ. Desperately wish I still smoked cigarettes because I've just eaten and I'm heavily caffeinated. Try to push that into the back of my mind. Empty out the old coffee grinds, put more coffee grinds into the machine, make coffee I'll be putting in my thermos and drinking up until 1. Shave/trim beard (if I need to), brush my teeth, shower. Get dressed. Feed/pet cats. Kiss wife goodbye. Can't find my keys. Panic. Find keys 3 minutes later. Kiss wife goodbye again. Pet cats again. Go to work.

Toinho Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 New routine because new job and location. So far it’s like this.. Wake up at 6 (or painfully 15-20 minutes before my alarm). Start planning in my head what I’m going to do at school today(if already not organised). Lay in bed scrolling news and social media. Get out of bed put kettle on. Have a shower. Get dressed. Make coffee. Eat yoghurt or banana. Sit on couch staring aimlessly for a bit. Continue to work out what I’m doing for the day. Pack lunch. Brush teeth. Drive to work.
Spike Posted February 8, 2020 Posted February 8, 2020 I work irregular hours so it does depend but the two that I never skip are my coffee and pre-work dump. There are a plethora of variables, did it snow? Is it 4:30am or 4:30pm? Does the wife need the car today? There is a lot I need to adjust or would like to change but whe share a home with others.

Administrator Stan Posted February 10, 2020 Administrator Posted February 10, 2020 Not gonna lie I hate those people that have alarms every 5 or 10 minutes. I don't get it.
