Transfer Rumours 2017

The English youth have the technique and ability, it's a misnomer to say they're not as good as youngsters from other countries. The issue is desire, young players from France don't chase the big bucks until they've proven something. In England it's about the money because clubs turn over players so quickly for the next fad. Clubs invest in their youth structure only to see them provide little value, Southampton and Tottenham notable exceptions, so the trust doesn't exist on either side.

Are there some rules for kids or is it that that there is no money there to chase in the first place?

Not that I'm aware of, wages aren't particularly high in France in general compared to the big leagues though - hence the annual of exodus of bang average or yet to realise their potential players to leagues all over the world for bigger paydays.

We've given a few bang average ligue 1 players £40k a week

To be fair he's been injured so much that we haven't really seen that he is shit. A lot of fans have a positive view of him because on the brief occasions we've seen him he actually went forward, we are not used to that. It made people excited about his potential

Happy? I don't really see it myself, I thought a proper striker would be a priority.

He's not a striker really, he's more of a wide forward (like Mane) but left footed.

Yes im happy. He adds quality to the squad, his numbers over the past 2 seasons have been great.

Apparently we are in negotiations with Dortmund to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

No chance that's happening.  Why would he leave the second best team in Germany, where he is loved, to come to the 4th (?) best in England? He won't win a league title with us in the next 2-3 Years if that's his aim. He'll end up at PEG.

Cavani won't want to play on the wing again, and after the season he's had at Striker, PSG would be mad to put him out of position again.

Silva left the best team in France for the third best team in England. Hefty pay raise sure but he stated it was Pep's influence and the 'project' that also got his attention. Can see Aubameyang wanting to play under Klopp again.

I hope Soccer Saturday put Paul Merson on all Liverpool games if that happens

Jagielka could be returning to Sheffield United this summer, club are yet to decide whether they'll let him go.

Love Jags but this is probably a great move for him and Sheffield United, and no massive loss for us especially if Michael Keane is en route. Let him go, put the armband on Coleman and crack on.

Isn't Coleman dead though?

They can't sell him till next summer so it will be another year of his career wasted.

Would have loved him to be a success here but I just don't think this league is for him.

We are expected to sign Florian Lejeune from Eibar by the end of the week.

Big 6ft 3 centre back to replace Grant Hanley and probably make it into the first team alongside Clark or Lascelles. Fair bit of competition at the back.

You'd trust the fat fella to sign a decent Spanish player.

Not sure on Clark and Lascelles, either. Both looked poor in the league before.

Lascelles did alright all things considered in the Premier League and got the captaincy for it. But last season in the Championship he was meh, whilst Clark was superb for most of it.

Think everyone is pegging their hope on Clark being able to carry that into the Premier League and that we've rejuvenated him but we will have to see.

We're linked with Iheanacho. Like the sound of it but how good actually is he?
