Mpache Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 Here are the groups for LW. @Michael can you confirm if Solomon merits a spot? @nudge can you tell me about Okafor, Szobozlai and Uros? (already know about Hack!) @Dr. Gonzo regarding Diego Rossi (I know him well, but could know better) @Machado and @ASF: regarding Francisco Trincao Want to make sure this draft is the correct one. Remember this is outside the top 5 leagues.

I just need 4 more then I can make the groups. Jack Harrison is a good shout, he the same one who played in the MLS right? He is. And he is progressing nicely, great speed, touch, skill, dribbling is decent and the defensive side of his game is sound from working with Bielsa. Being honest, I would say he has to work on the quality of his final delivery more. But the potential is all there.

Also Ben White, who I included in my CB polls.

Haven't watched Swiss league this season so can't tell anything about Uros, except that you have his name the wrong way around Uros is his first name, Vasic is his last name. Szobozlai - has all the attributes and talent to potentially become a star, but his attitude and mentality stinks sometimes. Great free kicks, good passing, great technique. Too inconsistent, also his finishing lets him down quite often pretty poor in the air. Should stay at Salzburg longer and improve his game, but will probably move to a bigger club in the summer. I think he performs better in a more central role (CAM) than on the wing. Okafor - one of the biggest Swiss talents, but still very raw. Pretty quick, good on the ball and in one on ones, good passing & crossing. Will hopefully get more playing time as he adapts at Salzburg.

Remember this is outside the top 5 leagues. Soloman is a decent winger from what I have seen of him, but he is often outshone by the various talented Brazilian players at Shakhtar Donetsk. I would replace Soloman with Vladyslav Supriaha who plays for Dnipro on loan from Dynamo Kyiv. Or replace Fashion Sakala with Supriaha, as Supriaha is a better centre forward than him and Supriaha is 3 years younger as well! Supriaha is the golden boy of Ukrainian football and the biggest young hope for the future. He was a key member of Ukraine's 2019 Under 20 World Cup winning team, where he scored 2 goals in the final to help win the World Cup for Ukraine. He is a clinical centre forward, who is physically strong, fast and has excellent movement. Despite only just turning 20, he has already found himself among the leading scorers in the Ukrainian League for Dnipro this season. Supriaha has been much more impressive than Soloman this season and is a better centre forward than the older Sakala. Here is just a glimpse of his talent and some of his goals. Several of them coming against his parent club Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar. I would also like to mention that Szobozlai is one of the hottest young prospects in the world right now, so he definitely deserves his place on this list. If you are selecting the best young players in the world, then you have to at least select one player from Ukraine's 2019 under 20 World Cup winning team. Not doing so would be quite unfair and Supriaha is probably the best player from that Ukrainian side.
ASF Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 Trincão is class, but personally, I enjoy watching Jota more. A more flamboyant player.

Tyler Roberts has suffered a lot of injuries for someone so young. But he has talent. He is better pkaying behind the striker where he can float bit if I'm honest, I think he has a long way to go yet. Ben White is supurb. Quite simply, he will be playing Premier League next year whether that is for us or not, and even if we go up, we are gonna struggle to sign him because the big dogs will go big for him. He is so cool, calm, composed...brings the ball out of defence confidently, he's quick, great range of passing. And yes I am talking about a centre back here. Again, just needs to prove himself against better players at the next level but he is going to the top, no doubts about it.

It's also different positions per round. This time it's LW. Ukraine will definitely have players here. Tsyngakov (not U20 but he still qualifies), Lunin and Supraha Can't replace Sakala as he's African so he's in another category! Will have to be Trincao or Solomon I reckon.

Will have to be Trincao or Solomon I reckon. So is the age range 22 years old and younger? Yes, Tsyngakov is another class act and of course Lunin is as well. But the other players that stood out alongside Supriaha in Ukraine's Under 20 World Cup winning side was their playmaker Serhiy Buletsa, their striker Danilo Sykan and the defender Denys Popov. Buletsa, who like Supriaha, is on loan at Dnipro from Dynamo Kyiv, was voted the second best player at that World Cup. Danylo Sikan won the Silver Boot, finishing only 2nd to Erling Haaland in the goalscorers chart with 4 goals during the tournament. While Popov was a key defender during their win, he even managed to score 3 goals for Ukraine in their cup win, not a bad feat for a defender. Those are their key players from their under 20 World Cup team, but there are a few other players also worth a mention from their senior national team. Vitaliy Mykolenko, who just turned 21 on the 29th of May, plays regularly as left back for the Ukrainian national team. Mykola Shaparenko(21 years old) is a hard working box to box midfielder who has also established himself in the Ukrainian senior national team. Finally, a personal favourite of mine, is the right winger, Marian Shved(22 years old). Shved was brought to Celtic by Brendan Rodgers, who rated him highly. However, Shved has been constantly loaned back to Karpaty Lviv by Neil Lennon, the man who replaced Rodgers as Celtic manager. Shved has done excellently when on loan at Karpaty, but he has yet to be given his real break at Celtic. What has probably kept him back from playing more at Celtic, is likely the fact that Celtic already have a lot of strength in depth in the wingers department and the fact that Shved only speaks very limited English. Despite this, Shved has proved his class in the Ukrainian league and I think that it's only a matter of time before he makes his breakthrough overseas, because he has the potential to be an exceptional winger in my opinion. These players are just about the best young talents in Ukraine right now.

Mpache Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 Finally able to make a scouting sheet on Song Min-Kyu of Pohang Steelers. Not sure what happened to the numbers being un-aligned but it's close enough.
Mpache Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 Next round if it started today for CB's... @SirBalon 69 Koopmeiners up against Alvarez @Michael Popov against Cesar Montes @Berserker Senesi against Caceres @ScoRoss Ajer against Diaz @Machado @Lucas Dias against Ben White @ASF Nehuen Perez against Gianfranco Chavez @nudge Wober against Stephen Who is your bet to win it all? I think the favourites at the moment are Senesi, Cuesta and Chavez. The former 2 are going to win their group by a landslide. The latter has home advantage with all my followers being Peruvian. I also think Koopmeiners and Ajer have good chances. Dark horse would be Godfrey Stephen since the Belorussians have found my profile and are voting lots for him.
Mpache Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 My analysis (since Twitter has a limit and don't want to come across as biased). Gianfranco Chavez - He's a very good CB but I don't think many recognize him yet and as a result, I don't think he'll win the whole thing. I do think semi-finals is plausible though since my follower base is mostly Peruvian and that will help votes. Home advantage. Nehuen Perez - If he beats Chavez, it's probably because he's good. He won't overwhelm the votes though and I think he's one of the less likely candidates. Maximilian Wober - Won't have such an easy time with Godfrey Stephen but he is a more exciting player overall. Godfrey Stephen - He definitely won't roll over against Wober. I think he'll lose but it will be close I reckon. Marcos Senesi - The candidate to win it all. He won his group by a landslide. He's also one of the best defenders in the Eredivisie so I reckon even some people may put bias aside. Sebastian Caceres - Very good CB, but not on the same level as Senesi and much less recognized. Koopmeiners - I think he'll go to quarters before losing to Senesi. Edson Alvarez - I have a few Mexican followers but I still reckon he'll lose to Koopmeiners. Kristoffer Ajer - Not sure how many of my followers follow Scottish football, but I also have a lot of unbiased scouts following me who will for sure recognize him as one of the better CB's in Scotland. Nicolas Diaz - If I had a say, I would have voted for Diaz. Very good defender who will be in Europe at some point soon. I think he will lose against Ajer though. Ruben Dias - This one is tough. Ben White put a good fight against the host and I think they are just as good as each other (Dias and White) Ben White - Can't call this one, I'm gonna edge it and say White just barely beats Dias. Cesar Montes - One of the best CB's in CONCACAF, but I think Popov will get the edge here. Denys Popov - Thanks to his U20 World Cup and campaign with Kyiv, I think he will beat Montes. Vanheusden - Probably the least likely to go through. Not only is he not a very recognizable name but also... Carlos Cuesta - Cuesta is one of the favourites to win this whole thing. He was the biggest group winner (so far) and will be tough to stop in these polls.

Would probably be a great fit for any Europa League level team in the 'Big Four' leagues.

Two I'd recommend looking at right now who are still playing in Algeria are Ishak Boussouf and Adem Zorgane, they'll both be playing in Europe (probably France) sooner or later.

I have in the sense that I've looked for statistics, but I'm still trying to find a way to watch the league. Wyscout offers me a game per month, and It's not a part of my 5 Instatscout countries. If you know where I can watch older games, let me know. One strategy is to watch Champions League games involving them, since they are on Youtube!
