Congrats to @nudge and all other Bremen fans. Staying in the Bundesliga will make a huge difference to Werder as they now should be able to hold on to most of their key players. Rashica will inevitably leave, but at least he will probably leave for at least £33 million, which is his release clause, rather than going for a cut price, which would have happened had Bremen gone down.

Congrats again! :)

Well done @nudge @Devil-Dick Willie

The question now is will next season be any better? You'd rather not this survival gained today be in any vain if it's just going to prolong the inevitable. Hopefully of course it does signal a change in fortunes and the start of something good!

I surely hope so... Honestly expected us to challenge for European spots this season, thought we had a decent squad for that, but then the poor start, injury crisis, bad luck and poor performances, a lot of it was pscychological too, I think. All in all, what matters now is that we managed to survive - let's hope for improvement next season.

Going through on away goals was about right for the way Werder played, two terrible, un Bremen like games in the play off, truth is they been poor all season.  Not a very satisfying team.
