It won’t be federally recognised because it doesn’t meet the requirements set for seceding.

Texas and California both have fringe weirdos that always talk a big talk on succeeding, but I doubt it ever happens because regardless of how big of an economic driver they are for the US... part of the reason they do so well is because they're a part of the US. I won't say it'd never happen because shit like Brexit also made very little economic sense, I think both in the short and long term, happens and a lot of voters in any democracy will go with what resonates with them emotionally.

Both California and Texas have more to lose than to gain if they became independent states.

Every century has a period where borders are changed, old polities go extinct new ones come up. Last century it was in 40s then in 90s with Yugoslavia and Soviets.

Definitely it will happen in this century as well.

I propose

independent Texas bcz at least they have local cuisine to distinguish from rest of America.

independent Scotland

merge both Koreas

merge back all the irrelevant former Yugoslavians

independent Catalonia and 2010 WC should go to them.

all -stan countries to merge

Israel allowed to annex Greater Israel but in return for giving independence to US

All frozen places like Siberia Greenland declared no man's land like Antarctica

independent Tasmania

Athens declared an international city to host all kinds of sporting events to avoid sports washing

All irrelevant countries in Africa Asia that have three colors common in their flags should merge

Is it a fringe or popular movement ?

It’s popular but they don’t have the necessary authority to secede. I think there was a court case years ago that it either has to be a revolution (lol) or be recognised by the 49 other states.

Epstein flight records show 2 US presidential candidates taking the pedo plane. Trump & RFK Jr. Bill Clinton also shows up on the list (as many times as Trump) - but he's no longer got political aspirations.

Think they all belong in prison, rather than on the campaign trail though.

Meanwhile in America, aliens in Miami.   Apparently 10ft aliens went shopping for brands.  The only aliens in America are the illegal kind.

In other news the meltdown was real.  Did anyone expect anything but a landslide, the charlatans Hayley and Di Santis got bodied.

What meltdown? Trump's been the front runner the whole time. It's no secret that he's going to be the GOP nominee. The others running for presidents are mostly seen as jokes, they've got as much chance of being US president as me - and I'm not even eligible to be US president.

MSNBC were living in the hope that Nickey Hayley would upset the odds,  they like her because she would be easy to defeat in national votes.

Right now the helium on Trump is unstoppable with every Iowa district going his way.  new Hampshire may give more support to Hayley as she is a dem light and will appeal more to the upper class citizen and Florida I expect Trump to landslide there again.

Do you really not get why MSNBC (and every other for-profit 24/7 news network) would hype up the challengers in a contested primary race?

It is the duty of media to report news not act as cheerleaders, now I know MSNBC are about as impartial as it gets but the rants were quite funny especially Rachel Maddow, whoopie was just being the usual racist.

https://unherd.com/2023/12/why-all-this-trump-hysteria/ well written piece by Martin Gurri a former CIA analyst and Democrat and a piece that destroys the mainstream narratives such as "authoritarian", "Dictator".  It's a pity people like this arent in more supply.

We should be asking why is Trump gaining more populism than he has ever had? Why is he hated by the establishment? The second is simple Donald Trump doesn't support the interests of the beurocrats but rather the interests of the working class everyman American, something the Democrats used to focus on until the 80's when they started getting into bed with the cucumber sandwich brigade.   They hate Trump because he made politicians and cronies poorer while Americans had a better life,  in fact Donald Trump's performance was slap in line with Clinton and Obama minus the 2008 financial crash.

In contrast Joe Biden's regime exhibits similar traits to communist regimes, manipulation of government branches, weaponisation of institutions against dissenters or people that refuse to comply eg branding anyone that spoke out about Ukraine as white supremacists and terrorists lol,  that's going down well.

MAGA extremism is just a sensationalized word for populism and it's gaining traction in minority groups and predominantly the average Joe American.  The witch hunt has only sought to turn people off voting for Biden,  I can see some serious monkey business going down in the elections, methods of rigging or masking the legitimacy ie ballot voting and stuffing with fraudulent votes over representative voting etc.

Joe Biden has a lot to do to arrest the slide but with 69% disapproval it's to much damage, then you go call people extremists as a rally cry when you are so unpopular is probably why they should have done primaries.

That's why he lowered taxes for the wealthiest and for massive corporations, but raised taxes on the middle and working class xD - Donald Trump doesn't support the interests of anyone other than Donald Trump and his campaign donors.

Trump is hated because he's a brazenly corrupt dickhead who thinks because he was president, he is basically king of the US. He doesn't respect democracy, which is a bad quality for a supposed leader of a democratic country. He doesn't respect rule of law.

And...

These are all valid reasons why people think he's absolute scum when you couple that with him being a corrupt piece of shit who thinks he's untouchable.

When it comes to election season we see the doubling down on socialist talking points, often by the people who have all the control in styming actual free market through draconian regulation.

Socialism is easy politicking, tell people they get free shit and they can decide how wealth is distributed but in essence what happens is people sell their liberty to empower the people that rig the game leading to totalitarianism and socio economic catastrophe.

Cronyism, nepotism the loyalists to technocracy and kakatocracy is the real problem not capitalism.  under current regime small and medium businesses are red taped to the point they can't compete and the establishment have rigged it to know how to enrich themselves and their backers.   with Biden in office they know they can sustain the status quo, when Trump is in office you will get reduced red tape, lower taxation on small and medium business and more free market practices which petrified the establishment and big corporate.

The solution is really Libertarian economy, where government control and regulations are reduced to merely ensuring free competition,  when a market is truly free then the quality of life goes up a cross the board.  The idea that socialism fixes anything is stupid.  The idea that socialism is Democratic is laughable, democracy is a term that can act as a euphemism for mob rule, if 10 people are stranded on an island and 9 agree to rape one person, that is mob rule through democratic process, similarly a business has 3000 employees, 2500 of them are lower skill employees while 500 are responsible for the turnover, allowing 2500 people to decide how the business is run on the wealth produced by the smaller group is just a way of vindicating theft,  people are paid their value and if you want to move up only capitalism will let you rise up, only a libertarian free market can prosper.

Gonzo, the Biden campaign largely backed by the *corp* is the biggest in US history, how comforting to know a person that mostly unknowingly acts like a puppet will use state resources to ensure the status quo remains.    as Bill Maher said the other day, the battle for America is not left vs right, it is the battle for sanity, voting for the status quo is absolute insanity

You don’t know what socialism is, you don’t know what libertarianism is, I think you barely understand democracy, will you fuck off already?

You’re still a bootlicker that supports tyranny of the few imposing their will and deciding the value of the many, because their bank accounts are directly proportional to their moral superiority. All you talk about is capitalism defending itself; i.e fascist talking points. Choke on a McDonald’s hamburger in Riyadh.
