Mad that this is pretty much must win now for Liverpool if they want to retain the title, they have 10 games in 34 days after this, playing each of the top 6. Top 4 and a cup looks more like a good season for them now, how their dreadful form against poor sides has cost them.

It's certainly must not lose. Let's remember that we're still less than halfway through the season before we start going over the top

It's already started in my circles and on my social media feeds, the absolute whoppers from both of these fanbases trying to give it large at each other, all the morons crying about penalties and bias. It's always the ones who can give it and can't take it back as well. Don't get me wrong, I hate Liverpool but the way the big banter section of Man Utd's fanbase behaves whenever they're enjoying some success is truly something to behold. Excruciating. Having one Teso on here was bad enough, if you leave the sanctuary of this small corner of the internet, he's everywhere. I'll say it again, I'd rather another season of Liverpool running away with the league than put up with the headache of forced Liverpool v Man Utd title race megabantz everywhere you look for the rest of the season. It'll be funny for about 5 seconds then we'll just be having endless partisan debates about penalties every weekend even worse than we have already.

Hopefully both teams lose here.

True but 6 points behind with the fixtures you have is not looking good. Even more so because of Manchester City looking so good.

This fixture through to the derby in February will certainly be a season defining period

January transfer window is the season defining period. Unless something ridiculous happens, we should have plenty of time to make up any dropped points if we address the obvious deficiency in the next two weeks. If we don't, well, we're only one point above 5th place. People thought it was ridiculous earlier in the season to suggest we'd struggle to finish in the top 4 this season, but it doesn't look it now

There's some chat on social media about having a Marcus Rashford banner in Anfield on Saturday because of his work on Free School Meals, etc.. On one side, you have people who think it's entirely appropriate that one of the most socialist fanbases in the country, the fanbase who spawned Fans Supporting Foodbanks a few years ago, should show their respect for the man making sure kids get fed in a pandemic. On the other side, you have people clutching their pearls over the football team he plays for.

Maybe I'm losing my edge, but for me there's a very obvious right answer here

There’s no discussion to be had. Utd player or noT, what he did for those kids was priceless. Put up the fucker banner.

I've no idea why anybody would have a problem with that. Some things are far more important than football

I’m not really looking forward to this. United have loads of momentum currently.

Meanwhile our form looks wonky as fuck at the moment.

I think they will be more worried about us.

Over half of the season still to play, we will only get stronger as players recover from injuries, whereas manu can only hope their run of dodgy VAR decisions and penalties continue.9_9

Agreed. Its got nothing to do with club rivalries, Id go even further if there were fans in attendance, id definitely like to see the Kop show their appreciation :congrats:
