It's the same as the second one in the Man United game. I sort of agree because neither were an obviously cynical challenge to stop a goal. But also I'm pretty sure the rule says it's a red unless there's an obvious attempt to play the ball, and I don't you can claim there was, so it kinda has to be a red even if it feels harsh
