Going to be a very difficult game. Think we need to win here if we're to stand a chance of getting out of the group.

Hopefully Page starts Kieffer Moore from the off, but knowing the useless bastard he'll keep him on the bench.

Also find it a piss take that we still have to travel to Baku while the likes of England and Italy play in there own backyard.

This is just a silly host. Thousands of miles from everyone and none of the locals even fancy it. Hear what they just said on TV, trying to shift tickets in town before the game for £25 and they still haven't managed a sell out.

Kieffer Moore starts, which can only be a good thing really.

Also, call it bias but I still think the Wales national anthem is one of the best.

Sounds like a choir.

Azerbaijan is getting to host a lot of high profile events. Has to do with non-footballing reasons.

I am a little concerned that this is a sneak preview of Qatar 2022.

It's the World Cup and Gulf is a popular holiday destination so I'm sure plenty of people will be willing to go.

And UEFA and FIFA and F1 are all too happy to take sportwash for the war crime committing dictator.

This match is taking place as Azerbaijani troops are harassing Armenian farmers as they cross the border trying to claim more land as “part of a border dispute” and are refusing to release POWs from their recent war.

Not that it's Wales' fault at all given the location of the game and current stipulations but let's just remember, the Euro's used to be about the best 16 teams, not 24.

Now that they have extended it, weaker nations get in, third place out of four in a group can qualify and as a result, the standard will naturally suffer. Teams are scared to lose as we saw with Turkey.

The Swiss are hardly an exciting team themselves but in the old format of four groups of four, they would have likely made up one of the bottom group sides.

The fact someone like Wales don't have the backing of the fans to fall back on too won't help.

If Embolo went down screaming he would have had a penalty no question. This is where the advantage rule needs to be used, he stays on his feet, plays advantage and yes Switzerland got a shot away but it was a worse chance than they'd have had if he wasn't impeded or he went down and got a penalty. Ultimately been disadvantaged for staying on his feet. I do see the argument that they had a goalscoring chance and wasted it so shouldn't get another but doesn't sit well with me.

Agreed. A penalty is the biggest advantage you can be given in that situation. It wasn’t even a tug. Like Mike said, he was almost ripping the shirt off his back.
