I'm not touching Bilbao with a bargepole, they've never not drawn 1-1 at home when I've needed them to win. That's the Bilbao I know.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted March 21, 2022 Author Subscriber Posted March 21, 2022 Results - Gameweek Six Casualties (3) The gradual decline in our remaining numbers continues this week, with most of those who chose to take a risk by not simply bullying Levante again paying the price. @...Dan's best run of the season came to an end on Friday night when Athletic Club were only able to muster a 1-1 draw at home to Getafe. Saturday was a bloodless affair but two further pins fell on Sunday. @6666 dropped first as Villarreal went down to a 1-0 defeat at Cadiz, before Sevilla's goalless draw with Real Sociedad failed to deliver @Storts a pathway into Gameweek Seven. Unlucky chaps, but well done for scoring a very respectable 5 points in this round. Survivors (7) Impressive picking by our remaining players, who this week largely went with the tried and tested strategy of picking whoever plays basement boys Levante. However, there was one exception in @Dan who backed Valencia to win at Elche ahead of their 1-0 win. The rest of the pack sought safety in numbers and were rewarded with Osasuna's 3-1 win against Levante, sending @Bluewolf, @Michael, @DeadLinesman, @Lucas, @Tommy and @Rucksackfranzose into a seventh Gameweek. Congratulations, folks, it's going to keep getting harder though! Preview - Gameweek Seven No rush here as games commence on Saturday 2nd April after the international break. Be very careful not to pick a team you've already used. The best part is that nobody still has Villarreal in their locker meaning that you'll all need to target a team other than Levante this week! Saturday 2nd April Getafe vs Mallorca Levante vs Villarreal Celta Vigo vs Real Madrid Atletico Madrid vs Deportivo Alaves Sunday 3rd April Athletic Club vs Elche Real Betis vs Osasuna Granada vs Rayo Vallecano Valencia vs Cadiz Barcelona vs Sevilla Monday 4th April Real Sociedad vs Espanyol Good luck!

Subscriber Dan+ Posted March 21, 2022 Subscriber Posted March 21, 2022 Ah fuck off. I knew there was one biggish side I'd not used and it's Sevilla, who are.... away at Barcelona. Think I'm gonna totally contradict myself and take Bilbao. Don't trust Getafe even despite Mallorca's form. Real Betis have slumped big time as well and represents a gamble at home to midtable.
Lucas Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 I'm on the Valencia train too. Its a shame a few of us are on the same team but it seems to be the way if you end up going roughly the same route.

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted April 6, 2022 Author Subscriber Posted April 6, 2022 Results - Gameweek Seven Casualties (4) Following a long wait due to the international break, Gameweek Seven finally provides a shock result that does some serious damage to our remaining numbers and brings us a big step closer to the conclusion of this La Liga round. Valencia were the culprits here, firing a blank in their 0-0 draw at home to Cadiz at the expense of @Bluewolf, @DeadLinesman, @Lucas and @Tommy. Bad luck chaps, but a creditable 6 points on the board for you guys in this round with an outside chance of that bonus point for joint 3rd depending on how the remainder goes. Survivors (3) As the options are whittled down, our final three each took different routes into an eighth Gameweek. A pair of penalty kicks from Karim Benzema helped Real Madrid past Celta Vigo on Saturday and allowed @Rucksackfranzose to be the first to populate the roster for Gameweek Eight. He was soon joined by @Dan, courtesy of Athletic Club's 2-1 win over Elche on Sunday. @Michael enjoyed the show over the weekend as his main title rivals continue to fall by the wayside in this long stay in Spain, and had cause to celebrate on Monday night as Real Sociedad's 96th minute winning penalty against Espanyol extended his run of successful picks. Congratulation folks. On to Gameweek Eight with seven points on the board and a guarantee for bonus points too. Preview - Gameweek Eight It's not often we get this far so make sure you double check which 7 (seven) teams you've already picked. As we're below the threshold of five players, I will need you all to make the tie break picks to ensure that we can pick a winner even if nobody can get a match winner this time around. I'm sure you know the score but to clarify, I need these three picks from each of you: 1) The usual Match Winning Team of your choice. Normal rules apply. 2) An Anytime Goalscorer. Remember that this doesn't need to be from the same game as your Match Winner. 3) The Time of First Goal in the randomly selected fixture, Rayo Vallecano vs Valencia. Below are this weeks' fixtures along with the La Liga standings. Friday 8th April Sevilla vs Granada Saturday 9th April Cadiz vs Real Betis Mallorca vs Atletico Madrid Villarreal vs Athletic Club Real Madrid vs Getafe Sunday 10th April Osasuna vs Deportivo Alaves Espanyol vs Celta Vigo Elche vs Real Sociedad Levante vs Barcelona Monday 11th April Rayo Vallecano vs Valencia Good luck!
