Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted May 23, 2022 Author Subscriber Posted May 23, 2022 Predictions - Monaco Grand Prix BACK! TO! BACK! Below are your predictions for the Monaco Grand Prix. The deadline for predictions is the start of qualifying on Saturday! You have until then to submit and amend your predictions. @RandoEFC @Tommy @Coma @Stan @nudge @OrangeKhrush @MUFC @DeadLinesman @Whiskey @JoshBRFC. Pole Position - Who will do the fastest lap in Q3? The Podium - Who will finish the race in 1st, 2nd and 3rd? Random Driver - Guess the finishing position of this week's random driver, Esteban Ocon. Bonus Question - The Monaco Grand Prix is infamous for having more safety car periods than on-track overtakes. Perhaps things will be different this year with the new cars. But here is your bonus question: How many stoppages will there be overall in the Monaco Grand Prix 2022? (Note: A stoppage is defined as a Virtual Safety Car, Full Safety Car or Red Flag. An 'upgraded' stoppage such as a VSC getting upgraded to a full Safety Car without green flag running in between counts as one stoppage. We are only counting the stoppages that occur during the Race itself, not counting those in Practice or Qualifying). Good luck!

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted May 29, 2022 Author Subscriber Posted May 29, 2022 Results - Monaco Grand Prix A mixed week once again started with everyone choosing either Leclerc or Verstappen to top the timesheets in qualifying, with @RandoEFC, @Tommy, @Stan, @nudge, @MUFC, @DeadLinesman and @Whiskey bagging 5 points for going with the Monegasque at his home Grand Prix. The podium was a tricky affair with 4th-placed Leclerc backed by everyone but @nudge for a place on the rostrum. Nobody made the bold pick of a Sergio Perez win but @RandoEFC, @Coma and @Stan all snagged a pair of points for having him in their top three. Everyone had Max Verstappen down for a podium finish to secure at least 2 points, @OrangeKhrush's only points of the round. @Tommy and @MUFC get 5 points for correctly dropping him in third. Both also picked up 5 further points for having Carlos Sainz in 2nd place along with @nudge. Oddly, nobody else had Sainz on the podium at all while Norris and Russell proved to be fruitless gambles. Random driver time, and Lady Luck smiled upon @RandoEFC and @MUFC as Esteban Ocon's five second time penalty applied after the race dropped him to 12th place. Nobody lost out on the 5 points for his 9th position at the chequered flag but all of those who predicted 8th or 10th would have picked up the two consolation points for being the closest. Finally, sticking with the criteria I mentioned in the race thread itself of only counting stoppages after the race had actually started, Mick Schumacher's big shunt which included the Virtual Safety Car, Full Safety Car, Red Flag hat-trick is the only one that counts. As everyone guessed that there would be more than one stoppage, probably expecting a normal start and a full race distance to be completed, nobody gets the full five points, and two go to @Coma for being closest with his moderate prediction of two. This week's scores see @DeadLinesman maintain his position at the top of the table, but with @Tommy halving the gap from 12 points to 6. @MUFC was the top scorer of the week and moves into 3rd place ahead of @RandoEFC. At the other end, a poor week for @OrangeKhrush sees him fall below @Stan to the bottom of the participating players.
Whiskey Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Not happy at all with how my season has gone, feeling very much like Ricciardo at this point.
OrangeKhrush Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Im biding my time, switching to wets for the downpour at the end of the race.
