That's horrific, I assume they can't track or trace any of the guilty party? Or is it a case of sweeping it under the carpet. Quote
Waylander Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 I think that was the one where the US also identified UK judge, MPs, RAF and Army were implicated. I can't remember how it ended. Quote

Azeem Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Most of the seemingly ordinary things being sold for millions like paintings etc are done for making black money white. Quote
Bandito Burrito Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 some paintings look like they were done by children, but are bought for a lot because they are 'abstract' Quote
Bandito Burrito Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 i guess some people just buy them to showboat or because they were made by a painter they like Quote
Azeem Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 Lavon Affair was a botched Israeli operation to bomb Egyptian, American and British official buildings in Egypt and to blame Egypt to keep British military in Egypt. I feel for Egypt, the country of such history should be much more significant in Arab/Muslim region and Mediterranean/African region, but it must always remain in perpetual choas and a client state of petro Shieks because it's in immediate security zone of Israel and most populous Arab state having democracy is not some petro Shieks will like. They have a problem for me. If they go truly democratic you get the Muslim Brotherhood and that leads to possibly supporting Assad and Iran which is probably why their Arab Spring was crushed. They may have trouble anyway due to hydroelectric dams being built in countries upstream in the Nile reducing their ability to obtain sufficient usable water in the near future. 1 Quote

In fact, sharks are also older than trees, and they have survived four of the five mass extinctions - the only animal to do so. 1 Quote

Azeem Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Operation Dropshot was a 1949 Dept of Defense plan to drop 300 nuclear and 30,000 conventional weapons on Soviet Union by 1957, but never executed due to other side also getting nukes. When Kennedy was briefed on the plan he was like wtf and reportedly said " we call ourselves a human race " Quote
