Marco Silva: Everton & Watford reach an agreement over Portuguese's appointment

Everton and Watford have "reached an amicable agreement" after the Toffees' appointment of Marco Silva as manager.

Watford reported their Premier League rivals for an alleged rule breach when the Merseyside club tried to hire the Portuguese in November 2017.

The Hornets sacked him in January 2018, blaming the approach from Everton, who appointed him four months later.

The Premier League had opened an investigation into the claim Everton made an illegal approach.

Both clubs released identical statements on Friday, which says  "both Everton and Watford are keen to move on from this matter". "both Everton and Watford are keen to move on from this matter".

All that cry arsing for what apparently amounts to a £4m compensation fee.

Pretty hilarious given that our bids to sign him from them in the first place were £10m+.

Whatever, just glad we avoided the points penalty as we would literally be relegated.

Well, that's the season nearly over with and whoever wins the EPL hats off to City & Liverpool as the season closes with the last match being the decider, I have said all along I fancied Liverpool winning it but the football gods only know that answer but I know next Monday morning our son will wake up with a massive hang-over celebrating his Pool winning the EPL or a massive hang-over and in a right shitty mood because City pipped them at the post.
